skyrimlover1212
I have a idea for a character, and one of the things they'd do is remove the personality of Codsworth. So, Would it be possible to make it so Codsworth's Personality is a Part that can be removed/replaced in the Robot Workbench, like how you can change the voice your robots use? Also, being able to rename him would be great. Like, maybe "Codsworth" is tied to a Voice Part, and Removing it gives you the part, and turns the Robot known as Codsworth into "Automaton-001", a normal Mr.Handy. (I know l could just build a new robot, and replace all their parts with codsworths', but using console commands wouldn't fit the Role Play.) That said, please let me know if it's not possible. I understand there are limitations to what mods can do. (PS, I'm using a older version of F4SE, From December 2019, so please don't make it require a modern Version of F4SE) Edit: At the risk of sounding passive aggressive: Can we please stop talking about my decision to not update, and focus on the mod request? Like, is it possible to change the Codsworth AI to be tied to a Voice Part, that can be removed to turn them into a normal Mr.Handy? My reasons are 1: I Haven't played the game in years, so haven't updated, and 2: I'm to lazy to download all the new versions i'd need (F4SE, and all the mods that require it) when l already have a stable version to play, with all the mods I need (aside from the ones i'm asking for now that i'm considering playing again.) and no desire to use the creation club mods.) Could be a problem with newly created mods though. Depends on what changed.

InvokerGray
No this is not to eazy, the voice lines quest points to Codsworth by a unique actor. Any object mods it has installed / uninstalled will not change that. The mod would need to disable him and enable a replacement, but similar result can be reachedwithout any mods. Just make a fake and send CW to a settlement you never use.
StormWolf01
Its actually possible that you might be current. The .162 update was in November 2019. And the .163 was not very long afterwards, the very beginning of December. They just haven't released anything new, as patches since. So it makes it seem like it's a lot older than it might be. And yeah, I did have to look it up. I couldnt remember if it was October or November for the first drastic patch. But here's the reference. https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Fallout_4_patches You should check your game version to be sure. .138 was the version before the really BIG update. Which jumped it up to version .162 and then .163 was the December. Which is the current version. So ON Topic. I honestly don't know if just regular plain-jane Mr handy's even have voice lines. The only ones that I've ever seen (heard) talking were named. IE, specific NPCs.
