GrizzlyUK
<snip>@Grizzly: If you mean that my Unofficial Patches are in the wrong place, thats as high as NMM allows me to put them. I've heard their supposed to load right after the DLC. But it doesnt let me put them that high. And i cant move the ones above it, down. 216 mods, i dont know what was causing the crash, but id say 200 mods, i was still able to run the game VERY smoothly. However, i dont think it was the number of mods i have. Rather, something in 1 of the mods i manually installed, was causing the CTD. Either it was corrupted, or was incomplete. I dont know which. However, im sure that if i carefully select what mods to use, i can avoid another CTD issue. Thank you all for your help ^^ I will keep you updated on progress. Then you didn't install the latest versions of the Unofficial Patches correctly! As per Arthmoor's stickied comment: NMM users take note:If you are getting an error about the BOSS API and then NMM tells you the mod has not been installed, you need to do the following: Uninstall the current version of the USKP (and any DLC patches you're using too).Delete their archives from NMM.Close NMM, then restart it.Download the new copy of the USKP (and the DLC patches).Install those.Set your load order. This procedure should work. DO NOT load the game at any point during this.As I stated, the current version of BOSS along with the latest masterlist should also sort the latest Unofficial Patches correctly, it does for me and many others! When you say "I've heard their supposed to load right after the DLC." that just tells me that you haven't even bothered to actually read the instructions for installing them! As per the description for Unofficial Patches: After installing the individual mods, the following general load order needs to be followed: Skyrim.esmUpdate.esmUnofficial Skyrim Patch.espDawnguard.esmUnofficial Dawnguard Patch.espHearthfires.esmUnofficial Hearthfire Patch.espDragonborn.esmUnofficial Dragonborn Patch.espHighResTexturePack01.espHighResTexturePack02.espHighResTexturePack03.espUnofficial High Resolution Patch.esp For getting load order set with other mods loaded, please use BOSS. It will provide you a solid starting point for everything that you can then tweak as needed. If you don't take the time to read mod instructions then you're going to have problems! :whistling:
MayuriMiku
Wells, sorry then. Gonna start paying a lot more attention to the mods i download. I usually read the Description on mods (well, i recently started doing that anyway). Guess i forgot to for the Unofficial Patches. Thanks for all the info. Was a big blunder on my part. GrizzlyUK
No problem, hopefully, once you install the Unofficial Patches correctly for NMM and sort your load order correctly, those CTD issues will go away. ;)
MayuriMiku
Yup. Actually last night, i re-enabled mods i know i was going to use. Id say thats maybe around 100 - 150? Maybe not even. I launched Skyrim, and it worked! They all work smoothly now. I installed the newest Unofficial Patches, used BOSS to sort them, read the comments like u said. And its all perfect now! Thanks so much for your help :)
