Custom Raced CM Partners? Creating clothing mods?

I noticed that you can't add your own custom races as CM partners with TESC since the game will simply crash when you enter the same cell as the CM partner. Works with normal CM partners though... So does anybody have a tip or two how to add a custom raced CM partner?

 

My other question is that I would like to create(Or edit) a clothing piece, but I am not entirely sure how.

I can't help you with the clothing, but if you look at the files you downloaded for the CM Partners Mod, there should be a guide to creating your own custom partners. In there, you will find instructions on how to make a CM Partner from a custom race. It basically involves making the race .esp into an .esm, then after you create the partner, converting back to an .esp and changing the dependencies. I know it works, because I made a Golden Elf partner that works with the CM Partners Mod. Take a peek and see if you downloaded the guide with the mod.
