InDarkestNight
I'm having all sorts of issues in Morthal. I decided to enter Alva's house during the day because I wanted Hroggar to live (the only other way I know to do this is to use a calm spell on him, and I wasn't playing an illusion build this time). I found her in the cellar, where she immediately woke up and attacked me. The quest progressed as normal, but Hroggar for some reason is pissed at me, which was of course a bit disappointing. A long time later, I decided to go into Lami's store to buy some ingredients from her. She won't open trade with me, and just keeps telling me to get lost. Looking into this, apparently she's set to 'foe' if you kill Alva. The unofficial patch fixes this, but it only works if you pick up that journal BEFORE you kill Alva. That's what I normally do, but since Alva was in the cellar for once (I normally break in there at night, this is the first time I've done it during the day), she immediately aggroed me and so I killed her before picking up the journal. I wasn't aware that this could cause issues, because I've never had this issue before. If anyone can offer me any advice on how to get Lami to trade with me again, I would greatly appreciate it. Now I'm an alchemist with one less alchemy merchant in the game, and she happens to be the only merchant in Morthal (unless you count the Inn anyway). Would a calm spell work? I've heard those technically work by increasing your relationship rank with an npc. Of course, I'm not playing with illusion spells, so that may not help much. Ondrea
Assuming you're on PC, I would think you should be able to fix that with a console command. Based on her RefID the command should be something like setrelationshiprank 1aa61 0 if you want her disposition to be acquaintance or change the last 0 to 1 if you want her to be a friend. Or if you use Relationship Dialogue Overhaul and the patch that adds an MCM, you should be able to modify her directly there by targeting her and changing her disposition in the MCM. InDarkestNight
RDO already comes with an MCM. I was able to use it to fix both NPCs. Turns out you have to set Hroggar to 'acquaintance' if you want his unique dialogue. Also, I'd like to apologize; I didn't see the sticky post stating that spoilers shouldn't be posted here. I felt uncomfortable making this post, because I couldn't think of a way to title it that wouldn't be a spoiler to some extent. If this could be moved, I would appreciate it, and I'll be making sure to post in the correct section from now on. I don't post in the forums very often.
