phforNZ
Fraps is definitely the easiest way to go about it.You could also use XFire to do the job - although a couple of minor tweaks have to be made to get that ill-tempered swine to run with Oblivion (there's an article on how to do it floating around here somewhere...) Johnny Orcface
FRAPS is pretty much the best video recorder.
ClayboTGW
I use a registered Version of Fraps to do screenshots and to capture the footage I use in my videos after that what you use as video editing is really to taste I use either Windows Movie Maker or Adobe Primier for sound editing I use Sonar

ClayboTGW
Yes WMM does have some framerate bugs if the Fraps captures are done in Full screen size instead of Half screen size captures and it does make a huge differance in smoothing out the framerate but really the only reason I mentioned WMM is the fact most of all PCs comes with it. I use Adobe Premier for my post production of fullscreen size captures but most people may not have the $799 USD to buy it. as for Sonar 8 that allows me to add up to 150 audio tracks for scoring after the basic timeline and music track is done thou not much call for doing so yet. Unavi
i've heard many bad tthings about Fraps, but still i use it a lot. The quality of the videos is pretty good but they can eat your hard drive space in no time (<200mb for 30 sec) i'm sure there is a way to change the format but i've never tried, cose i never meant to go in "post-production" (ahg this word seems so big and importat xd). Nevertheless try getting some other program that MMW....i have just bad experiences with it. It frezez every 5 min, the audio sometimes does strange things and as said the frame rate has some problems. I'm thinknig about making a video about a strange and funny bug i filmed ( when deadly reflexes crosses a esential NPC - you know what i'm talking about ^^). I used fraps to record every thing but i'm not sure which program to use to blend everything togheteg...and add a sound track since i forgot to record any sound..
