So, here I was, making a fun little custom weapon, made a nifty little fx sound effect for it, made it look pretty nifty in nifskope.. to my delight I succeed to add in the game in a mod file.

I pick it up, I get it and what happens? :drumroll: ... NOOOO, I don't see my custom made weapon the way it should be looking! I just see a standard looking Sawed-Off Shotgun :((

(But thankfully the custom sound worked and it looks like the "proper" model on the ground though! :P)

So, I boot up GECK, compare a few mods and what do I see? They have a custom 1st view model aswell and I don't in the attributes for your custom weapon..

Now, fair enough, but none of the tutorials I read properly covered how you make a 1st view model for your custom weapon and/or add it into GECK .. So, my question to you, how do you do it? :D

Thanks in advance..

p.s. I've only started working with nifskope/geck since today, so go easy on me :P haha

Go to World objects > Static. Open up an existing 1st person weapon static (they're first in the list, hard to miss), and edit it so that it uses your model (same model as third person, though mostly you'll find the 1st person model has a higher res texture, hence why it uses a seperate form). Change the formid to something unique (1stPersonYourWeapon) and hit ok, then ok again to create a new form. You'll now be able to select this as the 1st person model in your weapon from the dropdown list. Simple :)
