Custom Races mod incompatible

Okay boys and girls it is confirmed: if you get stuck in the Rotunda with Broken Steel going its because of whatever Custom Race mod you are using. Apparently it conflicts with the script inside Broken Steel on your gender and race when you wake up 2 weeks later. I'll be experimenting with a Beta-FOSE and Weapon Mod Kits to see if they can still work (i miss my modified Ultra SMG with laser sight, scope, extended mag and silencer T.T).

 

I can't say if the showracemenu option in the console would work but it's worth a try (i just started from an old save). stick with the default races otherwise Broken Steel just won't work.

 

For those that know already sorry for wasting your time. For those who didn't and its been driving them nuts I hope I helped in some way. Thank and God bless.

Yeah, I had this issue, but not because of a custom race, but because my char was on age-stage "Old" what is actually just another race too.

So this really only works with the 4 default races in their default form. No Child/old/Oldaged are supported and you get the same issue like custom races.

I don't think nude mods are effected, because I use'Brurpo Alluring Body Enhancement -BABE-' and woke up at the citadel with Sarah in the other corner naked with the babe body in a coma and that was with patch 1.5 installed, if you use the previous patch before 1.5 you'll wake up in the citadel under the bed and unable to continue at all!..

 

Owe I haven't used any custom races all week since getting broken steel and I never used Fook mods or add ons or MMM because I prefered mutants with lips, owe mutants with lips works still with broken steel, you'll get a mixture of the mutants with lips and the overlords well playing broken steel I noticed and I also noticed new faces among the Talon company members!..

 

I'm having door crash's trying to get into Jefferson building trying to get missions from that over worked snobby looking Scribe guy who sends you to check on water delivery problem's at megaton and springvale and revitcity, I'm leaving that mission for last, and doing the car tunnel and olney first!..

Nude mods doesn't change your race, so it shouldn't matter. If you look at the ending script, it calls "getisrace xxx == 1". Anything other than default adult races will return a 0 from that function, therefore failing the check. The only time they do the check is for the last bink where it shows you and your dad's picture, which Besthesda in their infinite wisdom decided to wrap the Broken Steel quest start script into that area. So if you fail the checks, the quest starting script will be bypassed and you will be left on the ground at the

purifier

with no control after all the other binks play.

custom houses mods are bugging my quests too. just in case people having same problem..
