Need help locating a mod

Heyas Ender!

Ok, that is good news that you've got it worked out! I'm glad to hear that, congratulations!

So basically what I was saying. Character gen has a file specifically for the the male and the female characters. If the race mod is set up to where you can choose to take that race, or directly start up that race as soon as the game starts, then you have options.

Basically they'd have in the mod, files that override the vanilla files. There's one for the male, and one for the preset.female.

So essentially what a person would do.... is override the override, with another custom file. And then load that file in the load order, after the race mods.

But congrats on getting it sorted out! That's great! :D

Unique player is a little boffed because you can ONLY use male OR female.

Unsure, where the hitch is in there but its an issue, what it does do to benefit is isolate the assets i.e. skeleton/skin.

For renaming, this can be done in FO4edit or via Rename Anything post-vault-exit but, as mentioned previously they get scuttled about in the beginning of sequences otherwise.

I was suggesting said programs primarily because they help isolate the required ids of player/spouse. Be warned they are not de facto in all cases.

(that just means there will probably be some unimmersive moments of name reversion poking out at certain times, unless you have tracked all name instances down- though that is unlikely).

So, just wanted to say don't be so hard on yourself, chin-up, you're not too stupid for nothin'.

You just have no experience in this, as is expected, since, well, you don't have the experience... yet!

:wallbash: <- This is sort of what experience looks like in it's early stages.

You have an idea and are motivating in the right direction, so smarts really has nothing to do with it at this point anyway.

FYI, autism and intelligence are not directly correlated, (and it is certainly no excuse), have known several autistic people with mind-boggling specialized skills.

You might have to try some things harder than others, but if you look around we all have that in our lives.

Well, on the bright side, I *DID* figure out how to get it to work, using FO4Edit, deleted a record or two between the two mods and called it a day, and it seems to work how I want it to. So as far as I'm concerned, this thread can be marked as solved.... OR, I can basically permit this thread to be a sort of FO4 version of Skyrim's "Mod Detective" thread, if you've been there, you know what I'm talking about.
