macaren15
I tried to do what the manual said but it didn't work, I also tried completely removing scom from my computer(including the files in "my documents) and it didn't work as well Question: does it work on Enemy within? dubiousintent
No, WE won't work with EW, and the author has no intention to update it to do so having moved on to other games. However, unless you tried to install it to EW's subfolder 'XEW', it's presence in EU will have no impact on an EW game. They are now in separate folders. Have you looked at the Warspace Technical Support thread? When you say "completely removing xcom from my computer(including the files in "my documents") and it didn't work as well", the statement makes no sense. If you uninstalled XCOM, then there should not be any folder containing WE or XCOM. If you checked that the "XCom - Enemy Unknown" folder is gone (from steam\commonapps\ as well as 'my games'), then re-installing XCOM will produce a vanilla game again. If it isn't gone, then you haven't managed to uninstall it. In general, "it didn't work" statements will get ignored as a lack of detailed information provides us with nothing to work on. In this case it's fairly obvious you didn't manage to actually uninstall the game. Re-verifying the game files from Steam will normally be effective in removing the effects of any XCOM mod, including WE. The exception is that verification doesn't always handle the 'My Games' copies for DLCs. Try again, and if you still have problems provide more detail: why you think WE is still in effect (what symptoms), and exactly the steps you took to uninstall the game. -Dubious- Edited November 17, 2013 by dubiousintent
