can't open boxes, lockers, menu...etc,

Bare with me here as this may be a little tricky to describe. Now i'm not sure if it's a mod error or a general error but i can't do anything but move around and open doors, (E key). I try to open anything and they open, per se, but the dialogue doesn't open so i can't see the contents. Also i can't open the menu at all, the only way i can quit the game is using the task manager.

Right so that's the gist of it, however, I CAN open the menu and/or boxes, whatever, in the first minute or so of playing after that i'm pretty much screwed.

But displayed above is NOT the load order when playing, certain esm, and esp (loaded as masters) files are loaded later on ie: sp_destruction.es is loaded just before the rest of the destruction files, don't know why fomm is displaying them this way here :confused:

I'm going to assume it's an XML file problem in the menus dir but i'm not sure which one it would be. I have edited none since installing darnUI, I usually only edit the levelup_menu.xml --> "currpoints/maxpoints.. etc.".

I'm am running with the latest patch (1.5) and all latest version of the mods.

If it helps my system is:

Intel core i7 920, 6Gb ddr3 RAM, nVidia 9800gt 1Gb ddr3 video, nVidia 8600gt 1GB Physix, Vista Utimate x86(32-bit) So none of that should be an issue.

So if anyone has any ideas i would be very greatful.

On a side note it didn't start happening until in installed MMM RC 1.11, but i did install other mods that day and i have since uninstalled/reinstalled everything but to no avail.

Something is probably turning off the menu-opening controls for some reason.

 

 

It is also a bad idea to load miscellaneous mods after overhauls. Move all the crap that you got below MMM to above FOOK.

Fook's, MMM's and FWE's esms are in the wrong order. First goes fook, then fwe, then MMM. These 3 should also be amongst the last of your esms.

 

 

As for the order, that's your actual load order. While you can visually place esms lower, they will always load before any esp. In fact, move them to resemble that on fomm so what you see is the actual load order.

Tried the console command...no luck there. The load order was created using FOMS. Outside 101 everything works on loading but when i get a message for the pitt or anchorage (don't know if there's a message for broken steel...haven't been able to get that far yet!) then it all stops there. Also no sound when shooting and all textures on weapons are fubar... I use archive invalidation invalidated.

Will try the load order fix now.

Sorry for the triple but i think i may have isolated the problem.....ok it worked the first time because AII wasn't active...it's amazing how you forget the minor things! So i activated it and slowly went through the process....so i walk down from 101 and test after EVERY message recieved...then it pops up saying GNR found and bam! nothing wrks again. So i tried to deactive all mods concerning radio and such....no luck there either. So i'm thinking maybe the radio files might be a bit poo or something has overwritten them.

all of that part has been fixed...i realised what i'd done wrong...hence the third post. Right now i'm going through all my mods and extracing only folders (no esps) to overwrite the ones that maybe missing
