hoax2
I made a mod some time ago: LINK ---> blanket I used texture-sets to reskin the vault-utility-suit but a few users have complained that it only comes up as the vault-suit and not as the texture I made. Which is odd because it seems to work for the majority of people and works fine for me. If someone would be willing to crack it open in the GECK and see what I’ve done wrong I’d greatly appreciate it!
TGBlank
They probably lack archiveinvalidation invalidated, installed it wrong or got their textures set to medium or small.
hoax2
Do i / should i; make different sized textures for different video settings?
TGBlank
It's not about size, it's about the compression-to-smaller system used by fo3 (and not the texture's resolution). It sucks and it even brings artifacts with vanilla textures. The advantages of small texture size vs large (on options) is also less than 2 fps. If your textures are frigging huge however (think 2kx2k+ for landscape, and more than 8kx8k for everything else), it is a good idea to provide a more down-to-earth size, mostly to increase fps.It wont solve the disappearing texture problem, but it will help the people with lower end machines.
