jgarling
I played FO3 through with no mods and the game ran great. Now I am playing with a few mods on it and I have noticed that VATS is slow to calculate the percentages. Before, the hit chances would be up as soon as the "VATS effect" was over (the blurred zoom effect), but now there is about 1.5 to 2 seconds before the numbers come up. Has anyone else had this problem? I have only a few mods activated, but I will try to go through them one by one. I just wanted to check in and see if this was an issue for anyone else. lhiii
Many, many months ago: upgrade RETAIL fo3 with no mods whatsoever to v1.4.Results: vats delay - a very noticeable delay before the player is able to make selections in vats AND a decrease in my opinion of Bathesda and these forums. 1 day later: full wipe and reinstall of f03 and much frustration with Bathesda and these forums. 2 days later up to 1 week ago: learned the geck, created and downloaded several mods. Results: no problems (but has vats been edited in the downloads? not that I can tell by using geck) 1 week ago: installed RETAIL versions pit and op-anchorage which required an update to v1.406 included on the cd (I knew this prior to purchase but a compelling voice kept telling me to have "hope" while standing at the register with debit card). Results: vats delay Your mileage may vary because you did not mention what version of fo3 you have and if you have any installed updates. I'm reluctant to go to v1.5 or whatever is the latest update because of the bugs that Bathesda has apparently decided it is OKAY to place on the shelves at Walmart (if only the FDA knew about this). Where I stand as BATHESDA'S EVERYDAY AVERAGE CUSTOMER: I do not tolerate it when a company wastes my time after I purchase their products. If I have to spend time in forums where (if you take a look at this post - over 40 views AND NOT ONE REPLY SO FAR) you will know how I feel and why I am compelled this ONE TIME to reply and try to help. Thanks for listening and bye bye Bathesda... You got 40 and then another 20, so that 60 bucks and that's quite enough. If I give you another $20, do I at least get my original $60 value? Is that how this works?
