lolroflmao
I had played Fallout New Vegas when it is modded extensively for about two years, but this is the first time I had gotten the error : "There seems to be a problem with your Project Nevada installation because the HUD extensions were not detected." right on starting a new game (deleted all other saves) At the start, I had installed a bunch of mods all at once (not the good thing to do!) and when I was testing them, FNV crashed instantly on start up. I did a clean reinstall and wanted to test every single mod through. I installed the DLC packs, along with the item packs, and then NVSE and then FOMM. I installed Project Nevada first via FOMM and there was no errors during installation. I installed all four modules too. I tried to test it by starting a new game but it gave the aforementioned error. I searched for solutions but all did not work. The first one is to activate Archive Invalidation, something I did not understand well. Back when I played, FOMM's archive invalidation was always ticked for me, but I realised that it's not ticked for me this time round. I tried to activate it but it would never be ticked. Some people said that I just had to keep doing it but it's just not working. I also tried to edit the Fallout_default.ini file but it was futile. Then I downloaded 'ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated' after some people said that it would solve the missing HUD extensions error. I started it but had no clear idea how to use it. I 'installed' it and pressed Activate and then started FNV via FOMM but the same error appears. I deactivated the ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated program and activated it again, but still the same error. Used it along with FOMM's archive invalidation, but it still was not ticked and the error persists. My second attempt was to do yet another clean installation of both FOMM and FNV. Did not work, error persists. My third try was to downloaded Unified HUD Project. I downloaded Project Nevada via FOMM and then the Unified HUD Project and checked that the related things were ticked. And once again, the error persists. Back when I was still playing FNV, it was extensively modded, having PN along with many other mods, but I did not encounter such a problem before. All the solutions I googled didn't work (or I did it wrongly maybe, but I'm kinda unsure on that). Download PN via FOMM? Already did. Tried ticking Archive Invalidation in FOMM? Did, but did not work. Did clean reinstall? Yep. Started via admin? Did that too! But nothing ! D: Please try to explain to me the solution (if any) in the most simplest way ever. I'm really an idiot when it comes to these stuffs.
edgeburner
I 'installed' it and pressed Activate and then started FNV via FOMM This is a shot in the dark, but, did you start FNV via the NVSE loader option in FOMM? You may want to take some time to watch Gophers FNV modding tutorials, they contain easy to follow instructions on those mods you mention.... http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/42832/? They were a big help to me when I first started modding FNV. Another thing, with the unified hud mod, you have to deactivate it and then reactivate it everytime you install a mod that installs elements for uHUD.
