Perhaps it would behoove you to use a more respectful approach? I understand your frustration, but, you must understand that FO4 is an almost eight year-old game, and, it's forums aren't as active as they used to be.

OMT....I learned about modding in the "Bashed/xedit merged patch" era. I actually have both still in my load, though I haven't re-created them in a long while, afraid to delete them though. Funny thing about the bashed patch... it seems to revert records back to the original record? I cannot find a script I can run via FO4edit to create the proper bashed tags. Did it in Skyrim, but a no-go in FO4.

My Highest level character is level 118. He has lived with AWKCR/AE since he covered his eyes exiting the cryo-vault. His "hard save" size is 20, 468, yet the "exit" save size Is 25,010? Strange. Then again, I'm only loading about 140 plug-ins and about 10 more F4SE mods. Again, my load is old, though i have installed about 30 more recent mods since I came back to the game. My game rarely crashes and every mod I've installed since coming back loads fine, all leveled- list items added show in game. I will update when the next-gen update lands. See no sense in doing so before. I'm one of those people, lol. Not that I'm not willing, just that I see no reason to if my game runs fine. I agree with your take. A lot of people just cannot be bothered with patching.

I like Trump, I get it, he is bombastic, a braggart, and has a huge ego, sort of like Obama, but, much less subtle. I go by results, not the perspective of today's democrat party and their allies in the corporate media. Seven years later, after multiple "charges" and three failed impeachment attempts (in reality) and, NOTHING? No absolute proof? Just scenarios painted by the democrats and their afore mentioned allies? The problem lies in Washington. The legislative branch of our government has chosen to put party over people. Then comes a media that has chosen sides (and yes, I include FOX). They have lost focus, their mantra used to be "hold government accountable", now it's "how can we support our party or choice?". I remember the economy before Covid, it was humming on all cylinders. I also remember Trump getting prison reform done, creating "opportunity zones" in disadvantaged city areas, increasing minority employment rates to all-time highs....Yet, he is still labeled by the standard democrat identity politico nonsense as a racist, homophobe, misogynist, ect? As far as the Ukraine? Should have never happened in the first place. Crimea was gifted to the Ukraine by Russia back in the 1950's , after hundreds of years of being a part of Russia . A failure on the diplomatic end? Putin is to blame? Zalinsky is to blame? If only we knew....

Personally, I prefer first person. It makes me feel that I am in my characters head, instead of controlling things with a camera. I don't necessarily mind third person, if it is well implemented, but, it just seems to be lacking the immersion(?) first person perspective provides. Of course, it depends on the game, but as far as shooters go, first person for me. Another thing, does it seem to you as if most games that could go either way are going third person?

From an overall perspective, not just what was included in the info we have garnered so far. From textures and uh, "MESHES" to lighting, to game-play, to game mechanics and so on and so on. Consider this sort of a "wish list". Be they minor annoyances or major.

I just started using it a few weeks ago. Also, with Ada and opening those access terminals in the final area of Automatron, had to fiddle around with focusing Ada.. Otherwise, it is solid.

I've been using them for years, and, have no complaints. I have been thinking about updating my load with the anti-AWKCR/AE thing via Eco and such, but, It seems as if you end up downloading as many requirements for mods as you do patches for the AWKCR/AE ? I was actually going to do this, until I heard about the next gen update. Is it worth it to update now?

I never understood this sort of, err, logic? If anything, they should do what you stated...add a capped amount of happiness to a settlement because of their lack of resource consumption, the ability to work 24-7, how powerful a jacked-up robot can be when tasked with defense of the settlement etc. Personally, I have been using Greygarden, Hangman's Alley and Jamaica Plain as robot only settlements. I build a few beds, turrets, robots, water pumps, crafting stations and generators for lighting and laser turrets. No beacon. I also use SKK's workshop access mod, and build a global weapons stash container for drop-offs. I also use jacked-up robots as provisioner's. So far, I have only had one settlement drop below 50%.....that was Greygarden, not sure why, but it was attacked and damaged. The worst part is that Supervisor Green was killed.....never got to win that "brand new car!!" :)

I'm assuming that this update will be similar to Skyrim SE? From what I have read, this will be a total revamp, a separate entity from the original FO4 (insert name) engine. My question, more of a hope, is that once the script extender is updated, I wonder if MO2 will still be viable? Just asking for a hope and guess, I reckon. Will it be updated, Is the MO2 team still together?

I actually prefer the the portable instance. It takes me literally ten seconds to swap save files in and out of profiles and into the MO save folder. Maybe I'm just too hands on, but , it gives me a "control" felling I prefer. Plus, I have plenty of hard drive space. Keeping all of the manually backed-up specific saves under self created folders identified by character name and profile assures me of a go-back if necessary. Also, using re-saver gives you a great identification aspects on a save. I rarely use it to cleans saves, just to gather info on specific saves.

Actually, it's not hard at all, It's simple file management . I believe you may have chosen a different install method with MO2 . I use it for skyrim also, therefore, I have more than one game instance. I believe I installed the "portable" instance with MO2. Also, the ini files match with profiles.

These are profile specific saves, They are manually loaded in and out of the MO2 save folder. You simply select the profile, copy and paste the save you have saved under that profile name into the MO2 save folder, make sure mo2 is on that profile, then load it in. I often back up my saved games just in case. IMO, this is a more organized way to keep track of saved games. Also, I have multiple characters with each load order, therefore, I feel this gives me more assurance. Keeping important saves backed-up on your disk/ssd. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I have multiple characters on each profile? Make sense? Anyway, it works for me.

I have five different characters I play with. I switch back and forth according to my scenario preference. This is accomplished by swapping saved games in and out of the MO2 save folder. I create a folder in "my games" labeled "FO4 Saves" and created sub- folders that are named according to the MO2 Profile, and subsequent sub-folders by character name. I also use re-saver for an info reminder on a save before I start swapping. It may seem a bit involved too some, but, it becomes rote after a while. Works for me.....

By lead spam I meant the amount of ammo recovered via looting. I understand the way this game screws-up the caliber damage and the chambering aspect. There are different projectiles for most caliber bullets. Take the .50 for instance, in the game it should do more damage that the .308, but, the difference is not that obvious. Agreed that you should have to throw the bolt on higher cartridge/caliber rounds, but, I use mostly 5.56 in semi and auto. My point was to change the game into a FPS shoot-out. Lead spam actually doesn't matter in my game, its how you shoot that lead. Even veteran raiders will show up with power armor, and, you had better blow that lid off quick if you want to kill him before he kills you. I have coursers spawning in with institute spawns, high level Super Mutants, high level gunners in power armor, SKK combat stalker with NPC's travel with jacked up settings...48 hr spawning, etc... Again, its just a change-up, something different. I've done the whole hobble your character thing....It just gets old after a while. :)

fraquar: Actually, the point of my post was to turn the game into a free-run FPS. Just for the sake of variety. With basic game elements involved, but, hey, play it any way you want too!

I have. Just got tired of the same ol' same ol' . I use mods that beef-up/add more enemies, increase loot, make shooting accuracy count, reduce spawn times to 48 hours, increase hostiles and friendly spawns, add multiple companions....It's casual and just fun. Let's face it, the game is going on 8 years old. how many times can you challenge yourself in survival difficulty before it becomes a repetitious drag? I still run the story up until acquiring the courser chip, after that, nah. Ever headed out with three jacked robot companions? One with two auto lasers, one with two gattling guns, and one with two cryro's? Comical carnage. Thank God for mods.

I can see it from a collectors view, but, not being a collector myself, I just grab one, leave the fusion core in, and leave it in a settlement for a setter to hop into.
