Unable to save Games Both manual and Automatic tho gameplay works perf

Basically, My game wont save anymore although the game itself runs perfectly. I have quite alot of mods installed and well it might be that. There is about 110+ mods installed.

 

Gameplay is perfect and cpu usage is nominal but hell and fire I cant Save!!! Is there way tomuch information to save or have I come to a limit on how much I can save in a game?

 

Also to note that Custom items such as weapons, items etc appear on my pipboyas a blank blue screen and when firing a custom weapon such a lightsaber, the sounds that should sound like a lightssaber disapear.

 

I checked with game conflicts, but not seem to be any that would indictate.

 

Has anybody come across this before and is there anyway to overcome this? Please oh please reply ASAP cos I really want to over come this as soon as possible. because just recently I bought 4GB of ram witch has more or less stamped out the constant crashes that pluaged me when i had the One GB of Ram that i had installed...

 

Maybe updating my FOMM or downgrading from the 1.5? Hell I dunno, just cant Save anymore! :wallbash: Bah humbug!!! Really angers me! Bleh! :verymad: Any of you moderators have this? Please Pm or reply to ths thread ASAP!!! Please?? With sugar on top?

According to all the info i've read at different forums up to now, it's definitely 1.5 patch vs. mods issue

reccomended solution is downgrade (reinstall) to 1.0.0.15 and fake patch

Right I downloaded the Fake Patch and 1_0_0_15 patch, altho i am unsure if i was suppost to unistall the 1.5.0.00 patch witch has so many reported bugs with it, and if i should, how should i and what exactly am i looking for?

 

Sorry still unsure what to do but in the meantime ill try out your solution and hope for the best. REALLY want to get fallout 3 working again as I just got broken steel recently and not had a chance to try it out.

 

Cheers and if any other solutions that you know of or any other performance enhanceing mods etc would be greatly apreaciated.

to downgrade to 1.0.0.15, you have to uninstall fallout (beware of clicking "delete saved games" during the procedure) - all your mods and DLC will remain in your F3\Data directory (except if you replaced some vanilla files, in folders music, video and *can't remember the last one* - isn't there some video that is replaced by BS?)

 

Then, install FO3 once again, patch to 1.0.0.15, use FOMM to change the load order of .esm's this way (don't forget to toggle archive invalidation):

 

Fallout esm

fake patch 1.5.0.x esm

pitt esm

OA esm

BS esm

----

other esm needed, like CALIBR, FOOK etc

----

unofficial patch 1.1.3 esp

----

other esp (mod) files

 

then, try to load a savegame and pray... i'm not too much FO3 enthusiast to tell you all the odds that can broke the game, but this "workaround" should work...

(at lest it's working for me, but i'm far away from end of the game, so i can't promise BS will work...¨)
