CaptainShield
Oi guys, So, I recently got myself the Ultimate Vn of FNV on Steam and a bunch of nice mods, which have been working fine except for one: Fallout New Vegas Redesigned 2. i don't know why, but I keep getting issues with it, namely peoples' heads beeing diffrently coloured than their bodys. http://imgur.com/aGQ0RKv Did I install everything as recommended? Yes. Do I have Archive Invalidation? Well, I do think so. I tried using loads of diffrent versions, inculding the installer for FNV, the manual version or the Nexus Mod Manager build-in one. The result is always the same. Did I add the "bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=1" line to my .ini files, under the "General" section? Yes. I really don't know what could be causing that issue, hopefully some of you guys have a clue. krigulv
i could be wrong, but i think this is the bug where the body is using the regular new vegas esm's color with the esp's face color
bjornl
It could be what KrigUlv said but when I have seen that bug the color was further off. I see nothing wrong with your archive invalidation, but I would suggest using NMM to remove and reapply it. Be aware that NMM may crash doing this, but this is harmless just do it again.I see nothing wrong with your load order, I use a lot of mods but we have almost no overlap so all I am saying is nothing jumps out as obviously 'wrong' to me.You might want to check that bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=1 is in fact in GENERAL. Did you use FALLOUT.INI or FalloutPrefs.ini ? The skin texture of the black girl seems just wrong to me. The face is a nice warm color while the body is a much cooler (blueish) shade.I see you are running the vanilla body, maybe change to a type-3 or type-6 replacer (such as http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/34702//? (caution includes optional naked textures) or this one which includes better underwear and no nudity http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/34825//? ). You did not mention if you have the same issue with males but if the above resolves the issue with the females, then there are male body replacers as well. CaptainShield
Thanks for the answers. I did infact change my Archive Invalidation to the NMM one just yesterday, didn't resolve my problem though. As for the bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=1, I am positive it is in GENERAL, right below sLanguage=ENGLISH. I added, or rather changed the value of that line in all three .ini files, namely Fallout.ini, Falloutprefs.ini and Fallout_default.ini. Meh. I was trying to avoid using a body replacer as I really don't like the oversexualisation. I'll try those replacers and see if they fix the problem. I don't really know if males have that problem, too, simply because it isn't quite as obvious. Most males in the game are armored up, so you only see the face/neck not the chest and therefore possible color issues and most Raiders/fiends/etc. don't seem to have that issue, no matter the gender. Edit: Tried both, neither changed anything, took a closer look at males and yeah, they have the same problem. Any ideas? According to Krigulv the game is loading up vanially body colours, so how could I get it to not do that? krigulv
the only true fix i know of would be to use FNVEdit to make the new vegas redesigned ESP read as an ESM. ESPs, for whatever reason, only modify the face color, not the body.
CaptainShield
Just tried to mark them as .esm with FNVedit and it didn't change a thing.
