well I known that you can get the item code in the game somehow but I could never figure it out. if you have a clue let me in on the secret will you. and yes i know that it is probably easy so I will kick myself later for asking. :thanks:

When your in the console, click on the item you want the code for (this can be NPC's, items, static meshes or containers) and the code will be displayed. Or you could download one of the may mods that adds a book with all the item codes.

thanks for the info the clicking on the item and it will give you a code is not true or is different for my computer because if I type in that code all i get is an error message Azir. Dez thanks a billion works great and Azir thanks for telling me there was a mod that puts a book in game will item codes in it saves me from going back and forth. :biggrin:

The code that is displayed is the code the game uses to identify that instance of an object in the game. So if you put two lusty argonian maid books together and go to console and click on each one, the code will vary. Typing the code you see will not work.

 

i don't think there is a way to get the codes in game... just write the codes down from the construction set before you start playing.
