New Companion - Minutemen faction upgrade?

I'm working on a robot companion that gets upgrades unlocked from joining the main factions. BOS gives better armor, Institute gives a better weapon, and the Railroad gives stealth functionality.
I can't think of anything for the Minutemen to give, complete blank here. I don't want to do flares because you already get those, don't want to do artillery strikes because I can't justify it.
I've already done some clothing options, and they wouldn't feel significant enough anyways, we are talking about a main faction. I know they're unbearably easy to join but still.

If you have any suggestions consistent with the vanilla Minutemen, I'd love to hear them.

How about drawing inspo from the cellar beneath the castle where you encounter "Sarge"? (Minelayer, extra tough Sentry upgrades -- or just a hat)

A couple of shoulder mortars resembling artillery pieces (nuka grade).

A "rally" ability activated by bugle calls emanating from hidden speakers.

The ability to summon a short-lived Ronnie Shaw hologram (the type that hurts).

Things associated with charisma -- Intimidation. Or even temporary conversion of enemies (like a frenzy spell that never directs toward minutemen actors).

A projected shield with the likeness of Minutemen barricades.

A passive ability of frequently attracting surprise attacks but they are always trash mobs (more loot and more fun) featuring a cued-up collection of voice lines expressing hate specifically toward the minutemen. (LazyVoiceFinder makes this easy)

I think I'll go for a mix of the rally/charisma idea. A temporary version of the Inspirational perk that applies to nearby allies, and a temporary version of the Yao guai roar that applies to enemies. I'll make it a combat system upgrade or something. Thanks for the help :)
I'll also add a second perk rank for when you become general that applies permanently to your other companions as well.

Can you upgrade their confidence via script? So the cowardly get cautious, the cautious average, the average brave and the brave foolhardy? Might not be a noticeable enough effect in most circumstances to be worth the hassle though, but I kinda like the idea of a character who normally would never fight at least trying a bit in presence of this bot, it would certainly be unique (if useless).

That's not a bad idea, should be pretty easy too since it's an Actor Value. I'll let you know if it works

EDIT: actually it can be done via Magic Effect, so it's even easier than I thought

EDIT 2: uploaded today, Fallout New Vegas - ExpandED-E Companion

It's a pitty I'm late to this discussion.

I'm with an idea for a Minutemen mod giving you functions like to pacify enemies perk that makes you feel like a policeman or the ability to recruit temporary random NPCs for a quest like a real militia general. For example:

You arrive to a settlement and an NPC approaches you to tell you that a friend was kidnapped, then, you recruit 2 or 3 followers from that settlement that will help you to rescue the friend or to clean the raider's camp that are threatening that settlement. Better if the followers could die during the mission, more immersive.
