Rastafariel
Alrighty. My thoughts: I'm squarely in the single player catagory. I love all the TES games and most of the FO games. However, I have also played a multitude of MMO games before WoW killed them. AC, SWG, AC2, DDO, LOTRO, SW:tor and probably some others I'm forgetting. My current issue with MMO games is developers are now making them so you can solo almost everything and not need to group ever - ala - SW:tor. You have companions and you have easy mobs. This is a single player game with chat attached. No one groups or socializes much at all except for supposed group RP and supposed guild events. Some of my favorite game moments have been with a small group of players you can grow with, RP with, and experience the world with. This journey is the BEST part of MMO's. And they are killing it. They are killing it because too many people insist on seeing all the content by themselves or don't want groups. Now - without a reason to group - not as many people do. Its like going to a party and having fun once you get there, but before hand being lazy and not wanting to get off the couch or bed. You gotta go to experience it. So, my comment is.... if its SP great, keep it single player, keep it excellent, keep it fun and keep it mod-able. If its an MMO, keep it an MMO. Dont try to make it SP and MMO, because that will ultimately fail.
