Lageron1
Ok, so the other day i was modding skyrim... it all worked fine, i tested it and all mods where in place. So after that i usually run Skyrim Optimizer, but i always have to find the folder which the skyrim.esm is in. But in the process i dragged some of the skyrim folder into another folder... In haste i stopped the process. And then i moved all the moved stuff back to the original folder (no overwriting too) and the next day i was going to add some new mods. I did, and then activated them. And then i went into the game, but the mods didn't work! They were activated, and i tried many times, with the Skyrim "data files" menu, and with skyrim mod manager here from the nexus. I've tried finding solutions for this but all i find is that "benablefileselection=1" stuff, which are on! I got no idea what to do... so please, need help... wowtrancer
Try uninstalling all of your mods one by one, make sure they're all uninstalled. Before attempting uninstall make sure you read each mod's readme/description and follow any special uninstall procedures for that particular mod. Make sure all of the files from the mods are out of the folder and make sure you completely deactivate all mod files. Clean out the data folder completely. You may not have to delete everything, just make sure it's all moved out of that folder. Finally do one last check to make absolutely certain you have no mods installed, check Steam, check NMM, etc, etc. Now launch Skyrim, your latest save a clean save, I've found http://arwenevecom.ipage.com/Skyrim/Skyrim-Tips.htm#Clean_Save the steps that guide takes works well for me. Go ahead and follow its steps and reinstall your mods via the instructions for each mod on each mod's respective page. Your mods hopefully work now. Edit: I'd strongly suggest using BOSS for load orders if you continue to have issues. Edited November 24, 2013 by wowtrancer
Lageron1
I've used boss... But i think you seem to misunderstand. My mods works! It's just that i can't install new mods! Edited November 24, 2013 by Lageron1
wowtrancer
I didn't misunderstand. If new mods won't work then there may be something conflicting or something not working correctly. Uninstalling everything properly then reinstalling everything one at a time on a clean save will help remove the most common issues and will help to restore the Data folder after your little mishap. fiewiel
Whatever mod manager youre using its obviously not putting your mods into the right place. You might want to check if you didnt changed your folder structure with your incident or simply point your mod manager to the right skyrim folder again. Lageron1
I use the nexus mod manager, and i've tried to activate then put the mod files into the data folder.
Lageron1
I have fixed the problem... Deleted the local files (again) and deleted the skyrim folder... then i reinstalled it... So just uninstalling the local files didn't work...
