I recently installed the Elven Weaponry mod from Skyrim (Oldrim) and ran it thru ther Creation Kit and changed it to form 44 from 43. I haver done this recently with the Rivendell Bow, LoTR Elven Hunting Knife and Viking Weaponry mods with no problems, and they work perfectly. However, when I did the same with the Elven mod, all I got was a grey outline of the Ebony Courtsword. I went thru the mod files and looked at the way they were packed, and I believe that is the problem, but no matter how I tried to re-pack them, nothing worked. Anyone have an idea of what I can do? I really want the swords because they look so much better than any other elven weapon mod. Thanks in advance.

A lot of oldrim mods have Meshes/Texture formats that are no longer supported by SE and so need to be converted.Changing the esp form version in creation kit may not be enough.

Run the downloaded folder through Cathedral Assets Optimizer

Once that has completed replace the old esp with the form 44 esp and try again.

If it still doesnt work then post over at the CAO mod page.

I noticed that most of the textures and meshes (there are several different weapons in the mod) are in several different folders within the file. Does that have an effect on proper installation? I looked thru the Rivendell Bow file and noticed that there is only one texture file and one mesh file, not divided. I have the mod in a separate working folder and the file path is : P:\ES5 Skyrim AE files\Weapon Mods\New folder\meshes\Weapons\adonnay, with each separate file after ardonnay. This is after opening the mod file in my working folder. The texture files are set up the same way. An example of one weapon would be P:\ES5 Skyrim AE files\Weapon Mods\New folder\meshes\Weapons\adonnay\courtblades with courtblades being in a separate folder. That's why I'm wondering if the file packing may have something to do with the problem.

I definitely think it's in the file structure. There are several blades not packed in a separate folder which load fine. Anything packed in the separate folders will not show up or show up as a grey outline, like with a missing texture. If it were just an unsupported texture problem, I don't believe the other outside folder blades would have shown up properly.
