This is so frustrating I wanna cry

So I downloaded a mod that isn't from this forum, from Fileplanet. It looked so goddamn sweet.

It's called 'Greenworld' http://www.fileplanet.com/198342/190000/fi...eenworld-Mod-V2

I really REALLY can't wait to get this going, why? I've always prefred TESIV:Oblivion to Fallout3 because Oblivion had a more 'beautiful look' to it. Other than Fallout3's crappy blown up dead ugly atmosphere...

With this mod, it will be a FANTASTIC looking map area with greet vegetation visuals!

I'm in need of some help getting this to work... I obviously unrar'd it into the Fallout3 folder, but what else must I do?

To be sure I copied the 'ESP' file into Shaders, Data, etc... All the folders.

But it didn't seem to work.

Please help guys.

If you can't help with that do you know of a similar file on these forums? Any mod that makes F3 look like oblivion/Crysis/(MGS4 in act2)/ etc.

Here is the second AND third image!!!

In the secondyou see I copied it in Computer » ://E » Games » Fallout3» Data

In the THIRD it goes too Computer » ://E » Games » Fallout3» Data » Data

But it didn't seem to work.

*more whining*

You obviously did not installed it correctly. What exactly did you do, where did you copied what, and what was the result.

If all you can say is "didn't work" then you won't get any help.

Omfg... Okay then, you want details I'll give you FULL details.

I went on that link, clicked 'download here' then it arrived @ E:// » Games » Fallout 3 »

Like in the first Screenshot you see below.

I extracted the folder like I do with all my rar files. I right clicked to open the list and I selected 'Extract here'

That's where you see the highlighted 'Greenworld' file. (In the first image)

After that not working with me loading my last save file in Fallout 3 I tried copying it some where else.

As you see in the second image, I copied the Greenworld into 'Data' folder. (This is were some of my previous downloaded mods were, they failed too by the way so if you can help with those too that will be awesome)

Actually I can only post 1 image at a time, I'll post a second image in a second post or I'll edit my first post and edit it there.

It goes in the Data folder of your main Fallout 3 directory.

Be careful. In that first image in your first post you have a data folder inside your Data folder. You don't want that!

Sadly this is not just the case. I removed the 'Data' in the Data folder, I copied the contents into the 'main data folder'

Now I deleted every single piece of this shrapnel except for the one in the 'Data'...

It still does NOT work.

What could I possibly be doing wrong?

This file is only 3.9kb or what ever, it'll take you 5-10 seconds to download and try for yourself.

Thanks for support so far.

See?, we could have spend days throwing back and forth generic problem solutions, but with the description we got:

1) a greenworld.esp inside bethsada\fallout. It should be in bethsada\fallout\data

2) a data folder inside the data folder, that shouldn't happen. Contents should be moved to fallout\data

3) you never mentioned about activating the mod on FOMM (fallout mod manager), which is rather critical for the mod to work. Mods can be activated through fallout's launcher but using FOMM is HIGHLY advised.

If it wheren't for the fact that you didn't mentioned it at all, i, and probably any other person trying to help would have overlooked that particular detail, most if not all believe that everyone already haves it and uses it.

4) No traces of archiveinvalidation invalidated, search for it on the nexus, you DO need it.

As said. All your problems stem from the fact that you have two data folders. There should be only one.

Also TGBlank is right. You need to activate your mod.

For future reference. You may want to unzip the mods into a temporary or even a specific FO3 mod folder before putting them into the Fallout3 directory. This means you can check the file structure is correct. Some mods unzip as Modname/Data and this means they won't work if you unzip directly to your Fallout 3 or Data folder.

Ok thanks, but how do I activate mods? I have _NO_ idea.

And I've removed my Data folder inside my main 'Data' folder. I copied what was in there and replaced it with the the files in the old folder.

But it still doesn't work.

So could you tell me how to activate the mod?

I don't understand shite ^^^^^^

1: Try to be polite, after all people are helping you for free

2: Run Fallout Mod Manager

3: Check the checkbox to the left of greenworld.esp

4: Launch Fallout 3

I am polite lol. I get a lot worse as I'm REALLY frustrated.

Where is Fallout Mod Manager? I don't see one.

I do not see any 'checkbox' to left of greenworld.esp ...

I do appreciate all help I can get ~~

What you have to realize is that I don't have a CLUE of what's going on.
