Hi um I have a problem with Skyrim... I reinstalle it cause I had some game breaking issues with some mods. After reinstalling I installed the dlcs and the latest update. After that I reinstalled the mods I wanted. After that I start the game with skse and try to load a game. While loading Skyrim crashes... I tried new game and everything was fine. Any ideas on how get my saves working again? It's my main playthrough with 184 hours of gameplay so I would really like someone to help me :/ . These are my data files:

BOSS log? (BOSS log > mod list, papyrus log, etc.)

Where are the rest of the unofficial patches?

Posted

No, as in, post your BOSS log. Your mod list only tells us the mods and if they're active or not. BOSS log tells us what has or hasn't been cleaned, what's obsolete, whether you have missing masters, etc.

Get the rest of the unofficial patches. Kind of pointless to only have it for one DLC while leaving tons of bugs in the rest of the game.

If you know where you installed BOSS, then it'll be the BOSSlog.html in BOSS/Skyrim. Copy and paste what it says for recognised and unrecognised plugins and put them in a spoiler tag. If you don't remember where you installed BOSS, then launching it again to get the log back in your browser will do.

You should also see about getting a bashed patch sorted out. It'll make sure the mods you have that add things to levelled lists work properly together.

You should be aware that even if your load order does get sorted out, your save may be lost forever. Skyrim doesn't like it when certain mods are removed mid-game.

Eek.

Okay, clean the mods it says to clean. That includes DLCs. Here's a condensed cleaning guide that doesn't take 40 pages/22mins:

1. Open TES5Edit.

2. A window will pop up with all your mods checked. Right-click this window, and click on 'Select None'.

3. Check only the mod you want to clean and click OK/doubleclick on the mod you want to clean. It's masters will automatically be loaded.

4. Wait for everything to load.

5. On the right, right-click the mod and click on 'Apply Filter for Cleaning'. Wait.

6. Right-click the mod again and click on 'Remove "Identical to Master" Records'. Wait.

7. Right-click on the mod again and select 'Undelete and Disable References'. Wait.

8. Close TES5Edit. Save the file when it prompts to.

9. Repeat for each mod that needs cleaning.

Get the rest of the unofficial patches. You need them.

WICCloaks. It says to only use 1 .esp, so delete the two you're not using, just to be on the safe side. You also need to get the Cloaks of Skyrim patch.

I've found that NavMesh errors make my game rather unstable, so you may want to either try to fix flaho_shi_eagles_nest_ENG.esp, or remove it.
You can try regenerating your Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini. They're in Docs/My Games/Skyrim. Delete them, then start Skyrim with the default/Steam launcher, not the SKSE. When it says what graphics setting it's set as is when the .inis are regenerated.
Wrye Bash. Make it your friend. You'll get the bashed patch, a decent installer, good mod organisation...and it'll tell you what mods your saves 'require'.

Wow cleaning is that important? Didn't know that lol. You think my saves will be ok if I do these things? Also where is this TES5Edit? And one last thing that Flaho_shi is one of my favorite mods...How can I fix the navmesh(I got no idea about modding :( )

Thank you so much for deticating your time for me...

TES5Edit.

Wrye Bash.

Cleaning mods can be quite important; conflicts can be bad, and generally the 'dirty edits' in mods/DLCs are conflicts of some kind. Cleaning mods/DLC just removes the potential problems not cleaning them could cause.

As for the NavMesh issue, I'm afraid you'll have to use the guide linked in BOSS. I've never had to fix NavMeshes before (instead choosing to delete the mods in question) so I've never had to make a condensed guide for it.

As for whether your saves will be okay...no idea. Every save game is different. It's yet another reason for using Bash; it has a saves tab, and when you click on a certain save, it lists all of the mods that were played in that save. If you really, really, really don't want to loose the save, then you can use that list to install all the mods it needs.
