If anybody can tell me how to Alter the likes of Mags Black, Nisha, Dixie, and the other Nuka World NPC's id appreciate it. When going into console commands and using SLM on the before mentioned characters any changes i try to make on them doesnt work, and resets to ttheir default face.

Lot of NPCs have their Face Geometry data ("FaceGeom") exported to .nif files. Mags may be one of them. In DLCNukaWorld - main.ba2, search for her FormID, see if she has a .nif under FaceGeom.

Note: if an actor has a FaceGeom mesh, the game will always load that data instead of the one that gets saved in your save game when you use SLM on them.

Hmmm. Wow, that's really interesting, and good info to have. Thanks so much for posting that, LarannKiar!

Here's a screenshot that I took of Mag's file, from Xedit. I DO apologize if it takes a while to load, scrolling images usually do

The information that I highlighted in orange is everything that has to do with her face/body.

Now, interestingly.... I thought perhaps that she was going to have a really high FMIN setting, which was why the morphs might not be sticking. However, she doesn't have one. (Blue Green highlight, very bottom of the pic.) So that shot that idea down!

mkultra. This is basically all the face information for Mags. This, essentially, is what you would need to edit, to change her looks. I don't do the CK (I can't figure it out!) so I don't know if they have an on-screen editor like some other games I've played do. IE: A window that you can visually see what changes you are making to the faces.

Just checked it and she has FaceGeom data (Data\Meshes\Actors\Character\FaceGenData\FaceGeom\DLCNukaWorld.esm\0000D3EB.NIF).

It actually has. Unfortunately the lightning is far worse than in-game.

Ah :( Somehow, I missed that :(

Nice catch tho, LarannKiar.

Ooooh! Thank you for the screenshot Larann! That's got some good options right there in the same screen. I agree tho, that lighting is not very good for working on face morphs! :(

Ok, so. Would removal of the reference to the .nif file... and I mean, removing that part of the file, not just leaving it empty... that would remove the dependancy on the mesh, wouldn't it?

Yes, removing the mesh is the only workaround that I know of. Probably editing the .nif works too, but I haven't tried that.

Always great information from you, Larann. And always appreciated.

So, Ultra.

If you are familiar with modding - the references that Larann made in her first and second post will be what you need to edit out.

If you are not familiar with modding - I would recommend to make a request in the Mod Request section of the forums, https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/forum/3515-fallout-4-mod-requests/

Asking if anyone would take up the task of removing the details needed. And leave a link to the discussion here in this thread. We've pretty much spelled out what needs to be done. ;)
