wysiwyg
Does anyone know of mods with things you can hang on the wall that are more like rugs or tapestries? Even tarps maybe? Those shacks sure do look drafty and the Winter must be especially bad! I guess I can try to rotate rugs but that's a pain. Thanks!
StormWolf01
Heyas Whatyouseeiswhatyouget :) I'm afraid that I didn't do much investment into settlement building when I was playing. So I am sorry that I can't recommend any mods that may have those.Tho I LOVE that idea!!! Maybe even add some meshes for boards nailed together to cover holes. Curtains could be cool too :) If you decide to go the route of trying it with rugs/carpets.... you might try out a mod called Place Everywhere. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9424It gives you precise axis turning, and xyz movement via keypress. Instead of having to try to finagle them into place holding the item in the air, moving from side to side, step forward/backward... that tedious crap. wysiwyg
Yep, I was planning on using Place Everywhere to see how well that works. Some object have an odd center point so hopefully it's simple.
StormWolf01
Ok so I Did find one mod, that adds wall rugs. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/46256 While I was searching for that, however... I had a thought. With Place Everywhere, wouldn't you be able to place another wall, one without a hole in it, where that wall is? Even if you can't remove the wall, you should be able to place another object in there, as filler. The way that a lot of people do with the broken walls of The Castle. Tho if you are looking for the mod also for deco.... yeah  That's the only one that I found. There's tons of custom poster mods tho. Also. If you're going to end up having to do this manually. I might recommend that after you get a good set up that you like, that you might save the build as a blueprint, using Transfer Settlements.https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/22442That way, you wouldn't have to repeat the process, when you start different characters. wysiwyg
Well! My Nexus search skills don't look too great right now...Not sure how I missed wall rugs when I was searching for wall rugs :| Thanks for posting that! I did use the patched plastic (duct tape) fillers from the Kuro Tab mod for some places like you said but anything else was really too thick for normal walls. There are numerous wall fillers and boards but...meh. I liked the idea of rugs keeping out the drafts  The advantage to using actual wall-placed items is that they'll hopefully stick when the wall is moved. I have lots of poster mods but they didn't really look right for me. I do like that Kuro has some textures for walls which look like repurposed billboards and signs but they don't have good window walls. Right now I'm creating standard type buildings for re-use and exporting with Clipboard. Thanks again for the replies!
