Help with Console

That should work while you are playing the game.

Press the tilda key once.

The image of a cursor will appear in the lower left corner of your game window on your monitor.

All you should see is a little blinking bar at the bottom left hand corner. Type the word, "Help" on your keyboard and see if it appears as text on the space there. Than tap your, "Enter" key to see the listed conscole commands. You will be able to find all the rest of the console commands at the Bethesda Wiki. Some others players may have posted some console commands that haven't been added to the Wiki yet too.

Hope that helps.

My game is installed on a Personal Computer (PC) not XBOX, or PS3.

Are you playing Fallout 3 on a PC? Or XBOX?

I don't know if you can enter console commands in XBOX.

If you are playing Fallout 3 on a PC, can you see, "HP" on the left down in the bottom corner?

If you can, when you type the tilda key that will disappear and you will see a cursor blinking to the very left in that corner. The console, so to speak, is that cursor. You can type console commands on your keyboard and they will appear as you type in the bottom left hand corner.

If you can not see the HP and Compass symbols there, wiith your hitpoints, I recommend you change your pictures screen settings to a lower resolution so you can see the entire picture in your monitors space.

Commonly used screen resolutions vary with different monitors and video cards. 640x480 used to be the most common. Some more recent equipment use 1024x640. If you have a HD monitor than it would most like be 1024x768 basically or 1900x1280 for the highest video cards and super retangle shaped monitors.

If you can't see the HP and compass markings you wont be able to see the blinking cursor either.

Hope that helps.
