True, though they didn't need to improve much on a 2d game, they only needed to increase resolution, sadly one game that really needs a hd release is Rise Of Nations. Sadly bighugegames does not exist anymore.

I really would have liked AoE2 with proper models, instead of pre-rendered CGI models though. The game's age really shows, and it's a shame because that game is set in my favourite time period of the series.

They went broke after Kingdoms of Amalur, right? Another shame, since that game was pretty good (aside from the unrealistic weapon proportions, overwhelming saturation that couldn't be tweaked, grating music, and poor advertisement).

There is a enb for Rise of nations, so i don't see why it can't work with Age of Empires, not to mention sweet fx.

Its literally the same engine but optimized for HD.

You may need to extract the installer though.

Yeah, but Age of Empires 2 just uses sprites on an isometric plane. There isn't light sources or anything, so I don't think an ENB would have any effect on the game.
