WhiteLight1
Hi there, before posting my report, i will try my best to explain my problem and all that i have tried to fix it. I've been unable to download "certain" files from the Nexus webpage, even tho i was able to download any file that i wanted just a couple of months ago. By "certain" files, i mean that it's probably only the larger files that i have a problem with, since i've been able to download smaller files (10MB or less) but can't download "large" files (20 MB or above). At first, i noticed this when using Vortex to try and download mods, but one day they all just started failing, telling me that the "network connection was not permitted" and that i should "check my firewall settings", and i, of course, found nothing in my firewall settings that may be causing this, after this i tried looking at my antivirus and at Windows Security and, of course, didn't have any luck on em, i also tried turning all of em off while i tried to download the files and, still, nothing. Since it most likely doesn't have anything to do with my pc settings, i tried to check my browsers for answers and, yeah, no luck there either, i checked if any settings on the browser could be the issue and nothing, i tried to download files on two different browsers and still nothing, i tried using a VPN and yeah, nothing, i even tried using mobile data to download files (and this is where it gets weird) and nothing, just a time out screen. At this point, i contacted my ISP and asked them about this issue, but they said that they had nothing to do with the issue (dunno if this is true). Keep in mind that i CAN download small files and browse the site normally, so i really can't tell what the problem is. Maybe it IS a problem with my pc, couldn't say i have been as thorough as i have wanted to be while inspecting it. I'll be posting the info now, i'm sorry if i made any grammatical errors while writing this post, as you are about to see, english is not my first language, any kind of help would be appreciated, thank you. Pickysaurus
Looks like you're speed is solid to all but the Miami server. Can you download big files directly into your browser with the manual download button? Small and large files comes from different servers so there may be something in your setup that blocks the larger file downloads specifically. This could be PC security software or possibly even some kind of router or ISP restriction.

Thanks for the reply, and no, the only thing that the manual download button does is bringing the connection to a halt, the tab gets "timed out" after a while. Regarding the possible block or restriction on downloading big files, i couldn't guess what could be causing this, since i haven't changed any settings or downloaded any program that could be altering the downloads in any form, much less restricting them. Nonetheless, i'll try to look again into the possibility of this being a problem with my ISP, i'll also check out the router, just in case. But, the main question still remains, why would i be blocked from downloading big files ONLY from Nexus?
Pickysaurus
It's definitely bizarre. My only thought is the big download servers are our "older" servers so they're more likely to be on block lists for things like adult content. The smaller servers are a bit more obscure and haven't been around as long.

I have narrowed the problem down to my ISP, since i'm currently downloading files like normal with another network and in another city, so yeah, i dunno what the problem with my ISP is, but i will find a solution for this with em. Thank you for your help.
BigBizkit
Thank you for confirming. It's unfortunate that it's down to your ISP - I hope this is something you can sort out with them, but nonetheless thank you for letting us know that it is indeed an issue outside of our control.
