asg0noir
Hey guysIm not much of a texturer or item creator and it has always bothered me the infiltrator from "the pitt" didnt have a stock. I rather like the infiltrator for "oh sheets" situations when the repeaters realtively slow reload just doesnt cover it (or you need a more stealthy attack) However the proportions on it just dont fit. Very long barrel with the supressor makes it look very "point" heavy. I know this isnt something you see most of the time (im guessing most of us dont run around in 3rd person view) but it would be nice if someone could fancy up an infiltrator with a stock. Not quite sure how i want it to look but here's some inspiration "lighter" more retractable stock:http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/images/ca_retr_stock_jpg.jpghttp://strykeairsoft.com/shop/bmz_cache/c/...age.733x550.JPG denser and more classic stock:http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/images/mp5_s..._wiring_jpg.jpghttp://www.crw-airsoft.com/ekmps/shops/crw...00%5Bekm%5D.jpg Oddly enough softgun sites seem to have pretty much all the pictures of gun parts on google :D Hope you can help. Oldwolfe
I was going to post this one myself, but did a search first so I didn't repeat anything. I'm a retired soldier, even ran a range for awhile, and a scoped weapon without a stock just seems silly to me. There should be a MUCH easier way to do this than creating a new buttstock from scratch. First of all, the Infiltrator and Perforator are both modified G3 meshes. Is it possible just to take the stock from the normal assault rifle mesh, mount it on the Infiltrator and Perforator meshes, and just re-texture? I wish I could do this myself, but don't have the software or ability. Also there is a beautiful G3 mesh that is already black by Alexscorpion at: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=271 He says: Licensing/Legal===============You can do whatever you want with this mod but all I ask in return is thatyou give me credit if you distribute any part of this mod. (I copy-pasted that directly) Another alternative is to mount a scope on: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=511 which uses AlexScorpion's beautiful G3 model. And then use the mesh and texture to replace the stock Infiltrator and Perforator. I also strongly recommend the Infiltrator Improved Mod: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5116 1st: Who would mount a scope on a weapon SO innacurate? 2nd: That magazine is really long to hold so few bullets. evilneko
I didn't notice that the perforator was stock-less until I got it to my megaton house, and tried to put it on display. I was disheartened at first, thinking it simply lacked proper collision when I placed it barrel-upwards against a wall. Then I picked it up again, and noticed the stock was missing! It did kinda bug me. I figure it should at least have one of those collapsible stocks on it.
Oldwolfe
If you have ever shot a scoped weapon in real life, can you imagine the scope wobble trying to shoot a 5.56mm on automatic without a stock?
