P1NK N1NJ4
so the other day, i got oblivion for pc and downloaded tes construction set. now, whenever i try to save mods in geck, it tries to save it as a .tes file. i looked in the dropdown bar, and .esp doesn't even show up as an option. is there any solution to this or can i just not have geck and tes construction set at the same time? Deleted54170User
The Elder Scrolls Contruction set is not the Same. Although I have read that some impatient modders made use of it to mod for Fallout 3. G.E.C.K. stands for "Garden of Eden Construction Kit". Click here, to find the link to get a copy of it, while visiting the GECK main Wiki Page for answers to your Mod questions. P1NK N1NJ4
i know, i have both, and for some reason geck is either trying to save as a different type of file, or it's trying to save to the oblivion directory.
Deleted54170User
Save your fouled tes. Put it in a separate folder, "New Folder". Kieep yourpluginname.tes in another folder. Copy and paste it to another folder. Now try this: Use Rename and just change your plugins .tes to .esp.. Click ok to change it. I'm not sure why but I think the two construction sets have file related switches which save an .ESP proper only if the one game is active to the Installed files.Unless you are modding for Fallout 3 uninstall the GECK.Run OBLIVIONs construction set. Go get its patches from the Oblivion wiki site as well. I should have thought of this when I was modding using MORROWINDs construction set. I would still have my mod than. If you are able to open it to work on it, click Save and then go and work on the new saved version cleaning out any trash which the Two C sets may have combined.. I remember trying to do a trick I saw when Oblivion came out and I wanted to be able to play MORROWIND on the same machine too. You might search around and see if the instructions to install them would work if you had separate folders finitely so that neither of them read the other. I had MORROWIND on my machine when I installed Oblivion and its installer switched all my MORROWIND files. I mean; pertaining to the .esp's to its own address file endings. Seems I recall, that was .tes. Than the morrowind game would not play. I had to uninstall them both to get Oblivion working.I tried marking the Program file folder with a 1morrowind to trick the Oblivion installer from recognizing it, as I wanted them both on the machine. The installer found the .esp I had built and some others anyway and I just gave up on the idea of learning how to do that so I could have both games on my machine.
