Ok i'm doing the Hlaalu quests now.....I have gotten the highest for Imperial i think atm so i wanted to do somthin different. All was fine until I had to go speak to Odral Helvi. Now all his runs were fine until the ebony shipment. When I click to accept it he tells me his contact Drinar Varyon is dead. Now I think thats the one smuggler from a quest in the Imperial Legion...... :undecided: ok so I couldn't find the the smuggled goods so I killed him.

 

Now Odral says he needs a new contact but it doesn't seem to be working....I've tried waiting many days also...still same thing...any pointers on what to do? :huh2: :lipsrsealed:

You could try adding Drinar Varyon via the console although I expect that will not work it's worth a try. Placeatpc"Drinar Varyon" 1, 20, 03.

 

If that doesn't work there is a cheat way around it by playing the main quest. But try the above idea out first and let us know what happens.

kinda wanna stay away from the console....I messed with it before but the game boring real quik....if I can't ..... I mean its cool just thought might be a legit way around it...thanks though its a workable way just ... i don't want any console commands in...i'm lvl13 in like say a week with 50k spending money with many ....many stolen and looted items.....so if I can do this in this amount of time....I think no console is better....i'll just try another guild or such...Cheers :smiley:

Hi I have the same exact problem but I tried to do the above code to put Drinar Varyon in place and that worked but when I went to Odral Helvi he says that Drinar is still dead, and I even removed his old body. What do I have to do to change it back to make it look like Drinar isn't dead?

Since there is dialog about needing a new contact. It might be worthwhile to look at Odral's dialog and see if there is any contingency for a new contact to show up or if it might allow youto bypass the request. The message that he needs the new contact sounds like they intended to have some way to handle the situation.
