How to have a working FO3 with mods Tutorial?

Recommended Posts

I am trying to play Fallout3 with some megamods and stand alone mods that clearly make Fallout3 much more fun. I've been waiting for a long time to start Fallout3 due to some irritating bugs and I thought Bethesda would fix them. They didn't. But thankfully the community fixed most of them. Thanks to every modder here!

I want to start a new game with Operation Anchorage, The Pitt and Broken Steel installed but from what I read here, Broken Steel needs patch 1.5 but with 1.5 installed many mods don't work. I checked some of the mods and liked Mart's Mutant Mod, Fook, FOIP, SP Destruction, SP Locational Damage, and some stand alone mods like Motorcycle, Burnification, Shells Rain, Explotions Knockdowns, Super Sledge Beatdown. Plus some hires textures.

I installed FOMM, FOSE, Archive Invalidation Invalidated, Fake 1.5 Patch, Unofficial Fallout Patch. (I updated to 1.0.0.15 first)

I tried shortening the dlcs names to fit them into 255 character limited line of Fallout.ini

But when playing Fallout3, after I get out of the vault I get many crashes when I save or sometimes simply move or turn.

I started a new game with only corrected weights clutter, NoLockTopic, knockdowns, SuperSledgeBeatdown, SniperZooming and there are no crashes game is running properly so it's clear I have been doing something wrong or everybody is getting crashes.

Could someone please help me (and others having similar problems) to freshly install Fallout3 with mentioned mods (and recommended ones) and start playing it without crashing by writing a detailed step by step instructions?
