colourwheel
Now that the off season 2013 elections are officially over we are coming up to the 2014 elections.... Seems like a never ending political cycle for campaigning in the world of politics these days. For anyone who pays any some what attention to the political atmosphere in America it seems now anyone who wishes to run for president has to start their campaigning at least 4 years either publicly or privately(secretly) before the actual day of the nations elections. It's already projected the front runners for the democratic party will be most likely Hillary Clinton and/or Elizabeth Warren.... The real question that seems to face the nation is who will be the front runners for the GOP this next election cycle? Who do you want to be the next GOP candidate and why? For the past few national election cycles seems the GOP has had a long line of candidates for their nation primary and this coming nation cycle seems to be heading in the same direction with a long line from Rick Perry to "maybe" even Chris Christie.... http://2016.republican-candidates.org/ Edited December 2, 2013 by colourwheel
Vagrant0
Stephen Cobert... Not the actor, the character. Let's just acknowledge the farce for what it is and be done with it.

rizon72
Honestly, I don't see any of them making it as either the Democrat or Republican party nominations. Personally, I don't want any of them, just more of the normal stupid politicians, especially Clinton.

rizon72
I used to listen to him, then I realized he wasn't that good. Its sad that the press is already pressing who should run. I just wish we could elect a real leader for a change.
Vagrant0
Its sad that the press is already pressing who should run. I just wish we could elect a real leader for a change.Define a real leader. Political beliefs aside, Obama started out as having many of those qualities that people look for in a leader; well spoken, well educated, humble and diverse background, career built around trying to work with others, ability to be decisive under pressure, ect... And look where that got us. More and more, it's seemingly less that we want a leader, and more that we want someone we can blame and make fun of for the faults of the political party, the system, or society as a whole. Half of it is probably due to the way which we have, since Clinton, been so openly insulting and critical of the individual who supposedly has the highest office in the USA. I mean, think about it, when was the last time you heard a child say that they wanted to be President of the United States when they grew up? colourwheel
Its sad that the press is already pressing who should run. I just wish we could elect a real leader for a change. Define a real leader. Political beliefs aside, Obama started out as having many of those qualities that people look for in a leader; well spoken, well educated, humble and diverse background, career built around trying to work with others, ability to be decisive under pressure, ect... And look where that got us. Vagrant0 has pointed something out here which a lot of people seem to over look about the role of the president... In my opinion Obama is a real leader. The real problem is the current congress we have has done just about nothing the entire year. Congress has had the lowest historical lows in approval ratings to passing bills (only 55 bills have pass in the house this year). The House of Representatives have managed to stop any government progress just for strictly political reasons... How can anyone really lead or be a leader when one party that controls one branch of government decided to obstruct government every turn for strictly political reasons? If you ask me Obama is more of a "REAL" leader than any of the current potential presidential contenders for the GOP. I mean just think of it this way and switch the situation around where you have a Republican president and the Democrats only controlling one branch of government. Would you seriously claim them not to be a "real" leader "if" the democrats decided to obstruct all legislation and presidential nominated appointees and obstruct government progress as well as waste time trying to repeal a single "law" over 47 times? A leader can only do so much when a 3rd of legislative government working under him decided not to follow under any circumstances....
