Solgath
well i figured a mod would be nice, so then i or dragondude could share it with the rest of the community, i for one, try to avoid using the console, cause i feel if i use it once, i'll use it again :P
DragonDude1029
Same basic concept as making a script for this lol, except I'll just remove the need for bat files and the console, making it a little more seamless. It can be a little hectic to use bats if I add say 3 classes with 7 subclasses each. There will be a MCM (SkyUI) version and a book version. I can throw in some randomness too if that's good with you Solgath.
Solgath
whichever is easier for you i guess, don't want to take up all your time doing this, i like the idea of the book and MCM version, i use skyUI anyway but the book version would also be handy. RognvaldTheWise
Ok just thought I would throw in my 2 cents :D
chanchan05
Doesn't Live Another Life already do this? I mean when you choose that you are a new member of Thieve's Guild or Mages' College, you get the basic starting gear. Heck if you choose to start as a Vigilant of Stendarr you get the standard Vigilant gear as well. As for classes, I suggest you use Character Creation Overhaul. It makes choosing a class have bearing. You learn the primary attributes of your class faster than the secondary attributes without choosing a standing stone. For example, a barbarian learns weaponry faster than any magic as if he is using the warrior stone, even if he is not. Mage path is nerfed in his case too. Or a better example is choosing Witch Hunter. You learn archery, enchanting, destruction and alchemy faster than other perk trees.
Solgath
yeah when you start there it does, but i don't use those as i tend to make vampire assassins a lot, so i pick to start as a vampire and generally it doesn't have any gear for said assassin, but the mod could be used in any given circumstance. DragonDude1029
Well I'm scrapping the randomness and MCM stuff. What will happen is when you enter into the game after character creation a dialogue/form will pop up asking warrior/mage/thief, then it will go to another menu with subclasses depending on your choice. Then after clicking you will get the loadout. Almost done actually. Obviously I'm going to need to look at Live Another Life, because usually I'd use EscapedHelgenQuest.GetStageDone(250) to start up the menus, what happens with that quest in live another life. Just thinking out loud, lol.
Solgath
for the starting quest in live another life, it sends you to helgen, once you get close enough it completes unbound then sends you inside to find a burned victim, loot him, read his book, then you can either enter the cave and pick which guy to follow hadvar or ralof, you then give them a potion of healing, the one you didn't help gets squished, and you follow the other outside, and then it progresses the same from there. DragonDude1029
In that case this should be done tomorrow! I'll test tomorrow with Live Another Life too, then put up on Nexus.
