t3hf4ll0ut
When I bought Mirror's Edge, I wasn't expecting much. But when I bought it, I was surely surprised. The game play is simply magnificent and the graphics are amazingly detailed, on the PC especially. The game is super short which is EXTREMELY upsetting. The game overall is a great game, and I'd give it a 9 out of 10 for it's simply amazing game play. What are your thoughts?
Hateful_kat
I liked it. I don't think it was that short. On top of that, you can unlock more levels in the trial mode. The game had a great feel to it, especially after learning the proper routes. Gave me suuuuuper speed. Also, with a little hack you can play it in 3rd person, which is even better. The ending was kind of a disappointment though.I'm eagerly awaiting a sequel. GenDonuts
I just bought it yesterday and I have to say it is amazing. It reminds me of Tomb Raider except its in first person and is more fast paced. I think it is the start of what is to come in many FPS's.
Halororor
I loved it, from the sleek and fitting visual style down to the whole idea of running, it just appealed to me on all levels. The story was a bit cliche, but that didn't stop me from enjoying it. I loved the way every character was unique and had a decent background story to them, even though we still didn't know very much about some characters. The combat didn't feel tacked on and if done right, you didn't even need to really stop to kill any enemies, just dispatching them while still running. There were a few times when I felt a bit as if I was doing the same thing over and over again, but they were few and far between. The game was a bit unforgiving at later levels, but it was a nice challenge for someone like me who is a sucker for punishment.I loved the main character and was really able to sympathize with her. And more than anything, I loved the song at the end of the game.
Monolithic0117
Mirror's Edge was great, but short. It ended in the blink of an eye. Sort of like Portal. Otherwise, I didn't have any specific complaints.
jaosals42
It looked to be a very interesting game, based on the little I've seen of it in terms of gameplay. I really don't think anyone should complain of it looking plain, as it fits in with the theme of the game. I'm surprised so many people down-rated it. It's a game I've considered getting sometime. SpacemanSpIiff
Mirrors edge is/was a good game....the first time through. Once you beat it (and like everyone else here said, it doesnt take long). There really is not much to come back for. I watched a video review some time ago, and what the reviewer said I entirely agree with. "It seems to be more of a technical demo then a game" REALLY would have been nice if the game was more of an open world then a linear story. I think every other First person perspective game should follow suit in the total immersion of the character that mirrors edge did.
SionDS
It was neat. I just wish the world seemed more open.
