crazybanana
Hey. I've just started out with adding mods to Oblivion. The installation of them is no problem but the result is in this case. I think it has something to do with the mod "beautiful elves". I choose to be a wood elf and started the game in prison. Thing is that the conversation with the prisoner in the other cell never starts when i've chose a "special" race to play. Is there a way to fix this but still keep the mod? I think I've seen a mod that creates an general conversation so that this won't be a problem, but can't find it.... Any help appriciated! P.S sorry for spelling! LFact
I suggest you to install Unofficial Oblivion Patch. Though you can add each small patches like KT Custom Race fix, Boethia Daedric Quest custom race fix. The game cannot recognize any custom race because there's no attatched condition for custom race to trigger the event.
bben46
Custom Race Fix allows the conversation no matter what the race, then the game starts.http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1815 I think It is included in the unofficial oblivion patch also. crazybanana
THANKS! I tried the Custom race fix and it seems to do the trick! Might checkout that patch too if it's useful.
jemiari
It will be useful, since it fixes thousands of bugs Bethesda never bothered with.
