Saves Turning Null or #0000

Every time I play for a couple minutes the saves work fine and everything is recorded in the save. After 6+ minutes though, all the saves turn into (null) in the time and level and the save number turns into #0000 and when I save with it like that, I leave the game and reload and find out that none of the saves have happened but the older ones are still there. I have GFWL on if that matters. I'm also patched to 1.5 Would like some help with this, nothing seems to have worked when I tried. Also, I searched this forum for a fix and found someone having similar issues with a radio replacer that was causing it, but I have no radio replacers. Only Existence 2.0 and SDR. Just walking around with no sound or music playing will cause this, so I don't think it is a radio mod issue. I have my load order adjusted correctly, DLC in the right area, FO3 edit was used and finished properly, and fake patch installed.

Screen cap here.

have you looked in your fallout.ini file to see if the pathfile for you saves is right ?

if you dont know how to do that uninstall and reinstall somewhere else not in the same place where you installed fallout 3 before

back up your saves if you have some also your mods

The saves still work and the path is correct. Just after 5 minutes all of the saves just go. It lists all my saves showing it can find them but it just doesn't open them right and they all do the (null) thing

all these bugs are to do with mods, if you cant find out what mods are doing this just reinstall fallout and install the mods 1 by 1 and see if everthing works , oh back up your saves as well

Don't know...

Do you use programs which are able to change sth on your saves?

Would try to disable all 3rd party programs (no fose, fomm, fo3edit, ...)

To check what happens.

Maybe a really clean reinstall could help

  1. Uninstall Fallout3 & GFWL -> uninstall all of this entries in your System Control
-> if you use an ArchiveInvalidation.txt file, you shoul backup it
-> also backup your save games

  2. There are two folders left: Game Dir (with your Mods) & My Games folder
-> delete or rename them to backup, if you want to use them again
-> Be careful with your backed up data, avoid using old *.ini files

  3. Clean registry (e.g. by CCleaner or RegCleaner)

  4. Reboot, to get all registry changes applied

  5. Defrag your hard drive

  6. Install Fallout3 and the latest GfWL-Client if you want

  7. Install the latest Patch which fits to your Game version - or use a workaround

hope it helps
