Eshenaleros
how about a Breton Spellsword with the atronach birthsign? 50% spellabsorbtion means you have no need to defend yourself against magic most of the time, and even if it does effect you, the problem is cut in half by your breton heritage! cast spells until you run out of power, then run up and chop the buggers apart. wasder
If it was me, I wouldn't bother with the whole 'Ultimate Character' rubbish. Play what you think is cool, even if the stats don't quite add up (High Elf blademaster type character of mine is a good example). A bit of hard work will sort it out anyway, mostly. hellchosen
yea i agree with wasder dont try to make a ultimate char play what you feel like cus honestly makeing a ultimate char will annoy you more then you have fun cus you have to basicly do everything exactly like the guide tells you :/ and if you do wanna be ultimate just use the console lmao :edit oh and for a archer you will want either close range companions or be able to use a sword to fend off enemys when they draw close and sneak is a must in order to get sneak atks so you hopefully wont have to use a sword :)

Oruboris
Depends on what mods you have, where your difficulty slider is set, etc., but I think the fun factor is greatly damaged by creating characters that are too good. I have a friend that can combine race, birthsign and custom class into characters that basically waltz through the game with no problem. He loves making them, doesn't care for playing them since there's very little challenge left.
ChalkLine
I usually make the hardest to increase skills my 'class', because I prefer lower levels and this means it takes a long time to advance. My Breton is at 4th level and I immediately level when possible, and have completed most of the questlines :)
