TGBlank
If the folder is protected (program files is protected, you can only really write there if you're running things as admin), neither programs nor you can write there. The download is likely to be fine, problem is your config. Google around about the subject, it's popular enough for that and you'll gain some good insight of what's happening and what to do.
darklord888
Probably write protected folder then, problem isn't with the mod, it's with your pc config. Lemme guess, vista, running as user, UAC is on?. *sigh* Oh god dammit. I bet it is UAC! My crysis mods didn't work until I turned it off too. I only got Vista a few weeks back so I keep forgetting about it. I'll try that and see how it goes. I'll update soon. I'm fairly sure I'm running as admin though. At least I think, I didn't get any errors extracting it. Thanks TGBlank and everyone else for the help. Now I just hope it runs ok!
darklord888
I'm making a new post because I have a new problem now(Why do mods always back fire on me?). I tried out a few others and they worked ok. I got the Enhanced night sky mod which looked great and the high-res moon mod as well(http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=538). However, there's no moon now! Just a black hole in the sky. I tried removing it and it's still gone now. What the hell? I removed the enhanced night sky mod and tried it but still no moon. How did I screw the moon up? It was just a simple mod.I skipped ahead by a day and it was still the same just a black hole. If anything I want the old moon back, some moon! I don't get how that one vanished too.
TGBlank
Wait 5-10 days?. moon phases take a while. Other than that, do you have archiveinvalidation invalidated? (search for it on the nexus) *sigh*, i can't stress how many times i've posted that phrase.
darklord888
I did download the archiveinvalidation invalidated mod. I was doing it the .txt way before that but yeah, it seems easier with the mod obviously and yes I activated it. The night sky work is working fine. It's not just a moon phase, it's just a big black hole in the sky where it should be and the light from it is still there. I tried skipping a few days but no change. I'm an idiot. :wallbash: I didn't know it did that on new moons. I just kept skipping days and days and FINALLY the moon started to show up. Thanks for the help.
