I'm having a little trouble finding a Base ID.

In Fallout 3 you don't exactly find friendly Sentry bots very often. When I do find them, I enjoy making them essential. However, whenever I type "gbo" on this sentry bot, I cannot find it's base id.

 

Here is the supposedly the Sentry bot's base and ref ids:

 

Base: (ff0012da)

Reference: (ff0011fb)

 

If anyone can aid me in finding this Sentry bot's base id, I would appreciate it.

Looks like a "normal" sentry bot. In that case the base-id would be 0001cf8a.

 

Be aware that many of the sentry bots one can encounter are just instances of the same type of sentry bot which all share the same base-id.

In this case, for example, you'll make all "normal" sentry bots essential, not just that particular instance. The are some unique sentry bots out there though.

 

Ref-Id = that particular copy (or "instance") of a certain type of sentry bot.

Base-id = the base template for all instances of that type.

I apologize for the waited response, but the base id "0001cf8a" did not work. I just don't understand why this sentry bot won't become essential. I've tried every base id from the Fallout Wiki and various other sites with no luck.

 

If it helps, this sentry bot spawned with a Scavenger near raiders in a repeatable random encounter by the truck carrying Nuka Cola Quantum.
