Leaving Lathran and Draego to make their way to the tavern, Erunanion led Vidala and Tiemmo down the hill, heading towards one of the slum settlements next to the town wall.

As they neared, they saw a great bear of a man burst from a tent, holding in his paw a leather sack of wine, which he liberaly poured down his throat and his clothes. He looked up at the arriving group and, despite the darkness of the night, recognised Erunanion. He hesitated for a second, then carried on his apparently drunken revelries. Not looking in his direction, Erunanion walked towards a nearby shack, and confidently steped inside, beckoning the others in behind him.

He sat down at a low wooden table on the only stool, and looked at the door, smiling slightly to himself. "We shall get through the wall with help from that gentleman outside. Now I must warn you, please do not take offense to his... frankness. He is from a world which does not value politeness as much as it does clarity, generally about which person will try to stab you in the back first." He settled back to wait for the door to open. "He will just be a moment; he cannot be seen to meet with me or anyone like myself, or you two for that matter."

Lathran nodded and made his way towards the tavern. Upon entering, the warmth and smell of food and drink was overwhelming. Lathran took a deep breath and looked around for this Camel man.

Vidala stood leaning against the wall with her eyes fixed on the door and her arms crossed over her chest. "How exactly are we going to get into the city?", she asked and shook a lock of hair out of her face.

Draego goes over to the bar table.

"Barkeep some drink's here." He turn's to Lathran. "Would you like anything? It'd be best if we don't seem out of place."

Erunanion, Tiemmo and Vidala did not have long to wait. Within a minute or so the door was flung open, and the huge man stomped through. He turned and gave a bellow to an unseen friend, then slammed the door and turned on then, far quicker than a drunken man should be able to turn.

"What kept you? You said you would be a week!" The man boomed, galring at Erunanion. He stamped around to the other side of the table, his eyes never leaving Erunanions. He completely ignored the other two in the room.

"I said that I would be back as soon as I could. You know sieges my friend. I was unable to get away. But now I am back, and I need to use the path again."

"Oh of course you do, you always need to. Why can't you use the gate like everyone else!" His tone made it clear that he knew exactly why he couldn't, but begrudged Erunanion anyway. He picked up a flagon of clear liquid and drained it in one shot, wiping his beard with his sleeve.

"I need to speak with the monk. I mean to be off with him within the night's end. By the way, these are my companions who will be accompanying me - Tiemmo and Vidala." He nodded at each of them in turn.

Slowly, the man looked at them. After a few seconds of silence, he said, "He's a strange one." He gestured at Tiemmo. "Ah, what business is it of mine who you associate with. Well, lets get you gone."

He turned his back on the group and began pulling at his heavy iron stove.

The barman fixed the two with a look of pure malevolence, but still placed two wooden mugs filled with a murky substance on the bartop. Looking around, Lathran saw that the entire bar was looking at them, floowing their movements. Several hands were laid casually but visually open the hilts of weapons.

One man, dressed in a loose shift of a sandy colour, stood up from his table, and crossed on unsteady feet towards the two of them. He tried to effect a swagger, but merely made himself wobble further. "What business does a soldier such as yourself have in here, mighty knight? We have nothing left of value, that much is certain! Perhaps you come to ravage our women in their beds? It would not be the first time!" With each sentence he took a step closer to Lathran, and now was poking him with a bony finger in the chestplate.

OOC: Sorry for the prolonged, unexpected absence guys. I'll try not to let it happen again but "teh scipt-kiddies have ooo! muwa0haxo1rooles!" Arg :(
