[LE] All-in-one, no dependencies, no bait and switch

FROSTFALL now demands SkyUI, as does iNeed and Follower Commentary Overhaul. Many mods also demand USSEP. Please don't anyone respond with any nonsense about "hard requirements" and "fully modded Skyrims."

FF, iN, and FCO all work perfectly on my XB1S (saved from the AE update by being kept off-line since 11/10//21) without SkyUI or USSEP.

THE REASON WHY WE PLAY OLDRIM IS AVOID THE MONETIZATION CHURNING OF SSE. We hate Creation Club and everything about it. YOU DON'T WANT TO SUPPORT A "DEAD" OLDRIM MOD? GREAT! WE DON'T WANT IT "SUPPORTED." (Translation: Unnecessarily "updated" and over-complicated to the point where it doesn't work anymore.)

I would love to be able to get the mod catalogue from 2012 and use those. But even the dead versions sometimes available on the Nexus now require the gratuitous dependencies that they never needed before the last update demanded them.

What are you modders doing? Is the SkyUI owner bribing you to force his mod on us? I would rather take an arrow to the knee than use SkyUI. (Yes, I've tried it, and it doesn't work for we who actually PLAY the game, it brings gameplay to a standstill.)

The excellent and necessary Backshields mod is gone, replaced with non-functioning Oblivion version. The Dual Sheaths version doesn't work, even with all of the other mods that pile into it downloaded as well.

Bandolier works perfectly on X Box as simply "Bandolier," but here we need Bandolier, Bandolier for NPCs, Dawnguard Bandolier, Dawnguard Bandolier Content for Skyrim, Bandolier Partridge in a Peartree, etc, and it still doesn't work. Then LOOT tells me I need Complete Crafting Overhaul! (Which looks like Donald Trump's tax returns.) Too Much!

I got rid of the 3 High-Definition Texture Updates fobbed off on us and the game looks 100% better. it is much better to have slightly cartoonish graphics that look good, rather than strained photo-realism.

Erou's Follower Leah/My Follower Leah/OLeah is no longer available. I have her still on X Box 1 and she looks and plays beautifully. But here she has gone through nonsense with her hair, is now ridiculously bald, and the Helgen Torturer's Hood that I once gave her is now not only non-lootable, but it also doesn't even appear in the Torturer's inventory. I don't t know if that disappearance is tied to Leah's baldness, but if it is, how old are you modder, 3?

It is as if the "modding community" has promoted themselves to Lord High God Emperors of the game, forgetting about the players who use their work. And don't tell me if I don't like it, don't use it. Of course I'm not going to use it if I don't like it, Bozo! And I have paid for mods, I am happy to pay for a mod I like, but only IF IT IS MINE TO KEEP AND USE!

What's with the fetish to switch the 1st and 4th Breton presets? Is it some sort of cult?

All you shills barking about Elder Scrolls 6 are in for pay-to-play/pay-to-win/games-as-a-service/loot box/microtransaction/product placement/predatory monetization hell. And it has reached here, the place that once seemed immune to it.

So Sad. Rest In Peace, Oldrim.

A lot of mods utilize SkyUI for the MCM menu which in turn allow for greater flexibility and customization for the end user. If one does not like the SkyUI menus, SkyUI Away can be used to revert back to the original menus while keeping the MCM system in place for mods that need it.

As far as requiring any unofficial Skyrim patch, that comes down to "laziness". It is not difficult to forward any "fixes" that affect one's mod without requiring the unofficial patch as a master. I seem to recall it mentioned somewhere that the unofficial patch team would even prefer it if authors would include the fixes rather than make the patches required masters. After all, it then allows the mod to reach a greater audience as it does not force the unofficial patch onto players who may not want all that it offers.

I cannot speak to any reasons as to why certain things were done. I will just point out that when I added a preset (locally) to the LE Redguard race it also caused the original presets to appear in a different order. That may or may not be a factor with regard to the Bretons being in a different order for you.
