Mackietodd
I just started playing Skyrim about 2 weeks ago. I would like to use mods to alter the physical features/appearance of characters in the game. How does this work? Can anyone give me a walkthrough regarding how this is done? Sovrath
Download Vortex: https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/1 Then go to the appropriate page for skyrim mods. This is for original Skyrim which is the forum you posted in: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim explore and when you find something you like hit the appropriate download button. Mod Manager button activates Vortex. You might want to start small as there are some mods that require additional things and it might seem overwhelming to go searching/downloading those things. Otherw wise pretty easy. Enjoy.
Gomezaddams51
For me, I have had to watch a lot of the mods because they have totally FUBAR'd my game and I had to start a whole new game after deleting the bad mod. Once I even had to completely delete the game from my computer and download it again and start over. Now if a mod requires a bunch of other mods to run, I do not use it. I only use the "Plug and Play" mods and even some of them mess up my game because of compatibility. I use Vortex and hat helps but there are still a lot that of mods that are questionable. At 72 years old, I can totally mess up a computer just by hitting the power button, so I need a Mods for Dummies kind of mod to put in my game. Even the mods that do work, will occasionally have things in them that do not work. As an example, I have the mod that teleports Serana to you. Great idea since she wanders, but the damn thing won't work for some reason. It is there just doesn't do anything. So watch what you download and I suggest instead of downloading a bunch of mods and installing them, you do them one aat a time and then see if the game will start and run.
