  1. Do you by any chance have Darkend installed? I ran into this exact same issue with that mod once I finished it. There seemed to be a change in the combat music for that mod (excellent mod by the way) and I could not, to save my life, stop it.
  2. I think adding things slowly and seeing what causes the crash is the smart way to do it. You never know what can cause it. In my mod I had an issue where I had gems out in bowls. It wasn't an issue in 1st person for Special Edition (and was never an issue in Oldrim) but when moving your character in 3rd person the area would crash. At first I thought it was the size of the cell but after shorting it didn't work I started removing things and "lo and behold" I discover the culprit when I put my character in 3rd person. Good luck.
  3. I completed two mods for players and I'm working on a third. Whether I publish them or not is yet to be seen. Probably, eventually.
  4. Hello EclipseScythe, Not sure If I can create "unique item displays" (such as clicking on a thing and having your item appear there) other than a place to put your unique items but I can do the other stuff if you'd like.
  5. I can do it starting Monday late day. How much testing do you want?
  6. How dark are you talking? Pitch black? My mod has several pitch dark areas and I did find out that npc's just don't see well in it. The only way I could give them better "sight" was to lighten the area to where you can barely see (but still can see) around you. I chose not to do this as I wanted the "pitch dark" areas. The few Draugr I have will eventually notice you as you will have a torch or a light source. I'll also add that some players hate this. I get complaints. So be prepared to add light sources, torches, "whatever" to help them as well as mention it on your mod page. Which some won't read anyway.
  7. Do you have only one dialogue branch? If you do try separating the dialogue with two branches and connecting them. I've found with one branch the NPC will speak but you don't get the "force" part.
  8. I might be able to put this together. While a full blown quest might be a tall order, I think I can make it so that some dialogue only appears if you have a certain skill level in enchanting or "whatever." What I might do is to have a front man like I do in my mod and then the regular vendor. If you can get by the front man then you can use the vendor. I'll try to make it as entertaining as my vendor so it's "worth the trip." I am a bit busy but I could see if I can have this done at the end of next weekend. Where should this vendor have their shop? How about adding them as a coworker to Arcadias Cauldron? Or some other already exising alchemist shop that only has one NPC running it That's a possibility but let's see if you like what I am coming up with. I think it might be unique enough to be enjoyable. Well, as much as you can find going to a "store" to buy a potion "enjoyable." It will be a little different though.

  10. I'm glad we could help and even more glad that you were able to find the culprit.
  11. Well, I can't say that "what I'm going to say for certain will help, but here it is. I tested my mod on both a "good" computer and a toaster and I usually play in first person so never caught an issue where, when in 3rd person, there would be a crash.. This was found by several players. There were two things causing these crashes. 1, I had bowls of gems out in the open. This wasn't an issue in "oldrim" but for special edition there was always a crash in 3rd person. I removed them (sadly, they looked good) and that solved the crashing. Do you have anything "shiny" or a lot of shiny things, things that might deal with how light reflects off of them, that are in the area? 2, I discovered that one room was too long. Again, in 3rd person it would crash. I truncated the space and that fixed the issue. this large room was made using an interior cell and not an exterior cell. Maybe either of those things will help?
  12. I suppose you can just go to the beach area and keep moving back, you might have to hit F5 to refresh, redraw the area, and then use the landscape tool no the area to lift up the land and start there. I'm more familiar with making new landscape areas than working directly in the main world. Maybe this can help:
  13. Hey Polearbair, It seems that there isn't something where I can just alter the level range for Voice of the Emperor. The only thing I could see is that I'd have to create a new shout which is a bit more involved than I have time for today. Therefore I created a spell called "Soothing Hand" (which should work on very high level npc's) and put the spell book in the temple of Mara on top of a bookshelf on the left. You should have ownership rights. If that doesn't do it then I'll see when I have time to create a new shout and try again. I pm'ed you the download link.
  14. That seems like it would be easy enough. If no one jumps in to do it I'll take a look at it later Sunday as I won't have access to the creation kit until then.
  15. i don't think you need to learn how to make a house. If anything, this is a great opportunity to learn the creation kit. Just open the mod in the creation kit, find the house in the cell view window and double click. This will open it in the render window.. You can either grab or move items in the render window or find them in the editor ID space (next to cell view) highlight and then you can move it in the render window. Sometimes if you grab items in the render window you inadvertently grab something else because the bounding box of another item is a bit large. You'll see. In the cell view window, highlight something and hit "w" You'll find some cells called warehouse something something. In one of them there are some book shelves, weapon racks, shield rack, etc. You could copy from those cells and paste it in the house. You could also highlight what you want to duplicate and hit "ctrl D" to duplication it and just grab and move it. Now, if you're looking to have your character approach a npc and have them buy upgrades, that's a whole different thing and I'm afraid I can't help you on that. good luck and have fun!
  16. See my response to your other thread. Let me know if you have questions.
  17. I don't think you have to do scripts. The Dialogue "box" where you put dialogue can only fit a certain of characters. Now, it depends on how you are doing dialogue; you can either put another line under responses (in the topic info box) and it will go right into that or if you are using another dialogue branch you can tick the invisible continue tick box. That will bring it right to the next one. Early in making my mod I would have a player response of " ... " that the player would hit (instead of words) and that would bring the next part of the npc speech but then I learned about what I stated above and that was a lot cleaner.
  18. Download Vortex: https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/1 Then go to the appropriate page for skyrim mods. This is for original Skyrim which is the forum you posted in: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim explore and when you find something you like hit the appropriate download button. Mod Manager button activates Vortex. You might want to start small as there are some mods that require additional things and it might seem overwhelming to go searching/downloading those things. Otherw wise pretty easy. Enjoy.
  19. Heya VIIVII, Check your messages, I quickly put together a Shrine example and have included a link. Let me know as you have questions working through it.
  20. You shouldn't need to do any coding. If you follow that step by step you can do it! To put it in perspective, my mod is rather large, has a lot going on and I know absolutely nothing about coding and had minimal modding experience.. I basically followed (with patience) some great tutorials, and was able to do what i needed to do and learn a little bit in the process. What you'll see in that tutorial is very in reach. You just have to follow it.
  21. First off, I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm sure that's devastating. Best thoughts to you and your family. As far as your request, xkkmEL gives good info. I think you could also right click on an existing shrine, it will duplicate, you can rename it and then find the correct blessing that's attached to it and duplicate that. make whatever changes you want. If you'd like, I can probably make up something quick so you can see what is needed and you can use that as you'd like, change it, etc. There's a "carved tablet mesh" used on the pilgrimage to High Hrothgar, that I can attach a message to. I can them just use some static items to make the shrine, put some offerings and some flowers around. You can then look at that tablet and see what I did and use it as a sort of tutorial. I'll try to do it tonight (it's currently 2:53 pm so later tonight) and send you a mod download link with an esp. I'll tell you where I put it in game and tell you the names of what was used so you can make your own. pm me a script (not computer script, what you'd like it to say) and I'll add that. Heck, let me know what city you'd like it in or near and I'll put it there so you can find it easily. Otherwise, I'll put outside of Whiterun.
  22. Not sure what you mean by "now" but you would have to change their disposition in the creation kit. under the "Actor" section you would find the character you wanted to change. There are several tabs and under the AI tab you would find "Aggression" and "Confidence." You can make the changes you want there.
  23. I suspect it's just a mistake. Some modder probably put that there with the idea of having a door leading to something and they forgot about it.
  24. This seems to be a straight forward mod. I wonder if you just opened it up in the Creation kit for SE and saved it if it would work? Of course if it does you don't want to go posting it without the mod author's permission. Additionally, if you are feeling industrious you could just make one yourself using this tutorial.
