Need help with LOD generation error

I'm working in the Wasteland NV worldspace. Whenever I try to generate the objects for this worldspace, I get this error:

I have tried sliding the .tga files into this specific pathway (had to make the pathway myself, wasn't already there), but it kept giving me the same error message. I'm not quite sure what it means or how I'm supposed to fix it. Anyone have any advice for me on what action I should take?

is the source folder you created in your FNV\data folder? If so that is incorrect. I needs to live outside of your game folder so the file path should be like this. Steam Apps\Common\Source.

 

You may want to get this NV LOD Essential pack It contains many of the files you'll need to generate LOD and a mini Tutorial on LOD itself.

Okay, it worked for the rocks and now it's asking for a specific type of tree that isn't anywhere in my data folder. Am I gonna have to do this for every LOD? What do I do about the missing texture.tga? Is this really simple in actuality and I'm just doing something wrong?

All LOD textures need to be converted to .tga and place in there appropriate file path within the source folder so yes but if you use the NV LOD Essential pack I have already done this for most needed textures. There may be some I have missed as Beth's naming convention doesn't always make sense.

 

Also we have discovered that LOD is NOT an all or nothing thing like I originally thought so if you do run into an error you just have to find and fix the missing texture or mesh and then continue from where you left off.

I used your LOD essentials pack, but I still have to manually fit some custom architecture I used. All I have of the LOD's are some Nifskope files that are in the meshes folder. How do I convert the Nifskope files? Or do I do something else entirely? Sorry I'm asking so many questions, I just want to make sure I know this.

You lost me are you asking about creating custom LOD meshes? If not the way I packed the files in that download is so the files go into there correct file path Nif's don't need converting.

I'm using custom meshes with my mod.

These are the only textures I have that I could rename to convert into .tga files. So how do I convert all those LOD's in meshes to .tga files? That's where I'm stumped.

If they have proper textures in game then they ether use vanilla textures or the textures you have shown open one that you think needs an LOD texture in Nifscope and look for it's texture path.

 

You can't convert .nif's into TGA files only .dds or other image files such as jpg or Tiff.
