Opening Scene Character Bug

Upon initiating a new game and disembarking from the cart in Helgen, an anomalous occurrence emerges. Following Hadvar's inquiry, "Who are you?" the camera or player avatar unexpectedly veers leftward and commences forward movement, often resulting in an inadvertent return to the cart and an ensuing state of perpetual "walking." This behavior has been repeatedly tested, revealing occasional instances where the character advances sufficiently to initiate subsequent events (notably, when employing the Alternate Start mod, precluding the appearance of the character creation menu). However, upon advancing to the sequence preceding the chopping block, the aforementioned erratic behavior persists, characterized by erroneous directional movement and a perpetual walking state stucked at same spot.

This issue exclusively arises in conjunction with the True Direction Movement mod. Removal of the TDM mod (temporarily) rectifies the sequence malfunction, restoring standard functionality.

Did I make a mistake during the installation?

Are there any known workarounds to address this issue?

Utilizing a keyboard and mouse setup, extensive and meticulous testing has led to the unequivocal conclusion that this issue consistently arises when the True Direction Movement (TDM) mod is activated.

While a permanent resolution remains elusive, initial observations suggest that the problem primarily manifests during the standard game start and only if camera movement occurs prior to the sequence initiation. Notably, this observation has yet to be corroborated with conventional mouse and keyboard inputs.

An effective workaround has been identified through a specific sequence of actions: following character creation and the selection of the Vanilla start option, maintaining a static mouse position during the initial sequence until control is forcibly transferred to the character. This approach, albeit not flawless, allows for the commencement of a new game without necessitating the deactivation of the mod.

UPDATE: The identified issue appears to be directly linked to headtracking within TDM. By disabling headtracking in the TDM MCM Headtracking settings, the issue with the opening Helgen scene is alleviated. Although some abnormal body positions and twisted directions persist, the scripted scene progresses as intended even with mouse movement. I will conduct one final run of Nemesis to ascertain if the issue can be definitively resolved.

Okay, I've searched millions of sites and it seems that nobody has happened to this or maybe it has happened to very few people, but I can't find a solution.

My problem is that in the opening scene, everything works correctly, but when my character approaches Hadvar for the creation of said (bearing in mind that I have Alternate Start installed and therefore this is avoided) it starts to walk in another direction (turns and goes in the opposite direction) and does not let me continue. It doesn't only happen to me with Hadvar, but also when I have to follow the Captain or even when the character is going to be "executed". It doesn't matter what I do, it always goes in the wrong direction... I've tried with console commands to rotate the character, to change its position, etc. and it doesn't seem to have an effect.

The thing is that I have more than 1200 mods in my game and going one by one trying which one is the cause is going to take me more time than I am going to be playing.

Despite having Alternate Start, I always like to have the vanilla start, so as not to break the "magic" of the story.

Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know what may be causing it?

PS: I have noticed that if I use some command to have control of the character or to be able to see it in third person, my character's arms are embedded inwards, does that have something to do with it?

The mod Opening Scene Overhaul is the solution to this bug, as I found out myself.

First, it doesn't have this bug itself.

Second, if you go through the opening scene with it activated and then deactivate it and run the opening scene as is and without the mod, it will be fixed.

It seems Opening Scene Overhaul somehow "rinses" the scripts of the vanilla opening scene.

This is with TDM headtracking enabled, by the way.
