ekamon
Hi, I recently re-installed Oblivion (several times now), and have been getting an odd shadow glitch that I never had before on previous installations on older computers. Basically, I'll get solid black shadows in interiors when in first person mode which disappear in third person unless I swivel the camera around to look at my character. I've noticed the shadows also disappear when I look at the ground, but gradually reappear when I centre my gaze/stare at the ceiling. Turning off shadows doesn't seem to help. GalleryI thought it was a mod conflict initially, but have re-installed numerous times with various combinations for me to assume it not to be the case. My last idea was to copy and paste my data file folder elsewhere (when the glitch wasn't occurring), deleting the contents in the original folder and c&p-ing the copy of the data files when my shadows glitch, but that didn't seem to work. A fresh install seems to work best, but it's annoying constantly downloading it off Steam. I'll post my current mod list anyway. Edit: I'm suspecting ENB Edited December 11, 2013 by ekamon
MalachiDelacot
Looks like it is your ENB. In Oblivion folder: ENBseries.ini Disable "ambient occlusion" or "detailed shadow"Set at "0" or "false" depends on how it was written.See if that works.I've had problems with ENBs so decided not to use them at all. Cacophony7
Thanks Malachi. Leave Ambient Occlusion on, detailed shadows=false fixes this. Don't worry shadows are still detailed and real, perfect even. Pretty sure I switched that to true before using it. Same mod list as you, Ekamon, you can also activate All Natural - Real Lights.esp, Better Cities - all natural.esp and bash the all natural indoor weather fix esp Edited December 23, 2013 by Cacophony7
