I wish I could find a mod that adds guillotines/gallows that work. It would be very immersion-satisfying to just walk into Whiterun and watch someone(random stock npc that's radiant and unnamed) be hung or beheaded. The only time you ever see the Skyrim Justice System is Brand-Shei going to jail, and Roggvir's execution.

 

Maybe even an option in MCM to toggle whether or not the player gets beheaded or hung if their bounty is over 10,000 septims?

Wouldn't you need to have a full cycle of the event?

 

In other words, too much drink in the tavern, and argument over a woman, a drunken brawl in which an innocent is killed, and then a Jarl's court hearing and judgement, then the execution?

 

In my opinion, there is great opportunity for Immersion RP material in all of that, but the execution itself is the least part, and full animation of the beheading is really not even needed. You could simply elude to the event taking place, with any need to witness it.

 

From a modding tech stand point, it can be done in the existing tools of the creation kit, and is not even that difficult to setup. About 10 hours work I estimate.

 

I may take some time to setup a "Crime and Punishment" mod, assuming my next step, searching thoroughly for one, doesn't find it has already been done.

 

 

P.S. There already is a "Crime and Punishment" mod, but it is currently taken down by the author.

The author probably used some meshes or artwork which he did not have permission to use, and is being sued. Sad.

 

As a Modder, it keeps me from ever releasing most of the mods I make.

 

Its not that I deliberately use other people's work in violation, it is just easy to do accidentally, and the costs are too high to even consider taking the chance.

 

Creating this mod might take 10 hours. Insuring that every single issue of copyrights has been addressed with only low probability of mistake, would take 100 hours.

Found one. It was made awhile ago, but it was taken down.

I support this idea, however I have zero scripting experience HOWEVER, I could do a quick little mod where they are chopping blocks or executioners in each city somewhere. It could be used as a modder's base for this sort of thing later *shrug*

Fine by me. If there's a modders resource of it, it would set the chain-reaction off, and someone would make it eventually.
