Altamosnar
Hi seems that some mods don't work for me. (See list below) I read the various mod Readme's, and they all seem yet supported, plus, need no OBSE or Wyre-Bash input methods to work. I avoid input methods because they simply don't work inside a Cider Wrapper on a Mac. I followed the same manual installation procedure as ever: extracting the mod into a temp folder, and dropping the files like meshes, textures, sound, ect. in their correct places. Then adjusting the Oblivion.ini file, not the default ini file, to load the new mods. Maybe i've overseen something. Today i'll try the Archive Invalidation mod, maybe changes something. #New Lands The Secrets Of Smithing.esp xulChorrolHinterland.esp xulFallenleafEverglade.esp #Weather mods _burning_kvatch.esp _darker_dungeons.esp _darker_nights_for_nat_env.esp Natural_Habitat_by_Max_Tael.esp Natural_Vegetation_by_Max_Tael.esp Natural_Water_by_Max_Tael.esp Natural_Weather_by_Max_Tael.esp #Props mods Summon Skeleton horse.esp AltPegasus.esp Pegasus.esp phinix_portable_tent.esp
MadWizard25
Archive Invalidation is a must, hope you can get that to work, otherwise its a pain in the ass process of modifying the oblivion.ini Just to clarify, what do you mean by the default ini? The one in the Oblivion game folder right? It sounds like your modifying the right one (documents folder), but I need to be sure  Im curious because technically you dont need to modify the oblivion.ini to load new mods, unless they are UI mods or you do the manual archive invalidation. Apart from that it could be a load order issue. Im pretty sure you cannot run BOSS due to cider wrapper, which is a problem since BOSS is almost 100% necessary to properly order your mod load list. A workaround would be download the BOSS masterlist.txt and search for each .esp using a text editors find function, then manually order the mods in the Oblivion Launcher in the order they appear in the masterlist.txt. Finally, since it sounds like your relatively new to modding Oblivion, I would highly recommend reading the TESCOSI website. Its probably the most up to date and complete guide for modding Oblivion, and is an immense help, even to experienced modders. It also easy to read and understand  And yeah, if you cant use OBSE, you will be forced to use old mods. Which have a higher likely hood of problems  Edited December 11, 2013 by MadWizard25
Altamosnar
yep, i meant the ini file in the documents folder. I'm a noob with modding and do everything with a bit of common sense and following the Readme`s guidelines. Oblivion is my first game i "modded" so far. Almost everything in the game is working nicely and thats sweet-within an emulation. :cool:Everytime i add some mod i must modify the ini file manually, because Mod loaders don't work with Cider either. It pays off, when all is working correctly. i installed now the ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated by Quarn-mod, that should load textures nicely. Thanks for the directions! I do some scripting myself and am used to handle code-but obviously only in Applescript.
