  1. I sometimes get blue textures / meshes Generally speaking, this must be caused of : -Missing textures -texture mod conflicts -missing mipmaps Today i found out a texture didn't have a mipmap at all (main screen replacer) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/72392?tab=posts I fixed that *.dds by adding a bottom layer and the original picture resized 1/4 on top left. But the end result looks a bit blurred, first time to correct sb's else texture files.. What are the best strategies to uncover these conflicts, before I see these appear in game, some ideas?
  2. This issue may happen because of conflicting mods and mod order. Are you using : -Loot to sort? -tesvedit to solve mod conflicts? -mod organizer to sort and solve conflicts? In addition : A) try to remove mods (I hope you didn't mix LE and SE edition mods) B) try to replace textures with other mods
  3. Recently i have been trying with new grass mods and found out that Mod Organizer (i use the old one, cannot use the new one) can load multiple similar resources (e.g. grass) - sometimes resources use different names but occupy the same location, so MO cannot highlight duplicates in first place. In game i've seen how grass changed from one to another type, depending on my view angle, e.g when turning around for 45 or more degrees. Now, i do not know how this could apply to many other textures or meshes i use, because most of these are loose files. I am interested to reduce strain, so my machine keeps cooler, more silent and i am more relaxed to play
  4. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/55153 why this question, search first…
  5. shadows are a big fps hit so we have a good starting point to develop a performance mod not sure how simple or complex its to deal with shadows. Anyway, my idea is to disable exterior shadows when the sun or light source is low / by night. I know about several performance mods but these deactivate shadows altogether, thats too extreme - i prefer to downgrade quality instead. A bit fps here and there is always useful.
  6. Even after tons of hours spent in-game it is annoying to see how elks or bigger animals stand on slopes like mushrooms, tangent to the slope instead to follow gravity. Ok, i do not wanna ask something complicated, just that: 1) slopes shall prevent animals from resting, slopes are ok but just to move up or downhills - not to rest there 2) another strange behaviour is when animals turn around in-place - possible to make make them jump ? i guess there are no animations just basic moves basically a small bugfix for animal animations I encircled the Elk in blue and drew a red line for the slope:
  7. Every game from Bethesda suffered from the same animation problems, also Skyrim does: - Moonwalk/sliding effect – when actors stay not in the right spot and are forced to stand in another spot in a second moment - turnaround animation – makes me think of the first ego shooters, where the enemies had a very poor AI package. Especially ugly, if animals rotate like a Ball on their self as if they had a 5th leg under their belly  somebody knows animation mods to minimize/solve this issue?
  8. I was looking for a script to add weapons and armour to levelled lists - wrye bash is a bless to create a patch but it's not able to add stuff without levelled list keywords. So far I found something ; leveled list script I'm not sure if this script is save to use as we are spoiled by mator's scripts. Anyway... Your 'Item distributor' is still in the make or abandoned because too difficult to code?
  9. The Creator of Imaginator (nexus id: 13049) told me to be done with modding, therefore I ask here if somebody's interested to improve Imaginators features: A- less strong color/saturation-steps for a better fine tuning/preset calibration B- implementation of Fiss (nexus id: 48265) to save our own presets Let's see point B, maybe we can add more: Imaginator is great, but I'd like to get optionally, different presets depending where I am: 1. Wildness (day) 2. Wildness (Night) 3. Building (day) 4. Dungeon (Night) 5. Maybe fight? Anyway, I'm already happy if somebody implements Fiss. The rest are additional features...
  10. Do I need ENB to change the shadows in Skyrim? Ships cast no shadows on the water. But it gets worse, because of engine limitations : weird Sunshine how to improve this?
  11. Looking for a rope mesh replacer, and no, I don't want to download SMIM. Want just rope mesh replacers
  12. I like to see mods which use preexisting concepts, tweaking and building on them, adding just a few more things 'Uniques' should be the keyword of my request, or restricting game assets to factions. Unique weapons, gear, armour, magic, enchantment, ect. for every faction Let's consider equipment: there's a lot of repetition and generics like every playable faction can use every magic, weapon, enchantment, gear, perk, combat skill, ect... And the player can mix everything in a mash up. Killing the particularity of each faction, things get boring because nothing is unique anymore. Every character be it elf, orc or human can do every magic or craft every gear, ect. Vampires and the dawnguard, werewolf/bear factions are a bit different Example. Only Dawnguard and Vigilants, the silver hand- should possess silver weapons and between them not all should be able to craft the same stuff like weapons, gear or enchantments. Just stuff fitting their purpose with some exceptions to the rule, like giving them the ability to craft *some* common stuff. Same aspects like penalties and bonuses should apply for the player, gaining experience to craft different stuff by joining factions but still with some drawback (e.g. if using daedic weapons and your race isn't daedric) Currently I use already Scarcity, bring my silver and various weapon / gear/improving perk tree mods to get what I want but... Would be nice to have a mod controlling this aspects in depth and more expert than me relieving us from collecting many other mods of this kind.
  13. Looking for a mod which improves snow on rocks. In close up the vanilla snow on rocks are just some white pixels... Edit i found a very good mod for snow on mountain rocks: majestic mountains
  14. Hi folks, im pretty new with ENB - which means i read a lot about, i installed with success several ENbs and did some adjustments already. However, im still confused : ⁃ seems that some people mixes enblocal.ini with enbseries.ini . But what file is needed, both ? what do double parameters and which one is overwritten of both? ⁃ i have 12GB Ram and 3Gb Vram. So, i write VideoMemorySizeMb=(1024*15-2048) ? applies this formula for Skyrim only or also Fallout 3 and Fo New Vegas? ⁃ how to adjust depth of field and give Lod landscape an uniform bluish color ? ⁃ how to mix the original colors with the enb layer? 50-50% or yet another value pairs? thanks
  15. The Meadhall of the heroes of Sovngarde is soo damn empty - where are all the great death warriors? the interior should be full of people, wenches, eating and dinking, maybe with some small arena in a wing, where the heroes play some battles. Furthermore, the hall should be immersed in golden light. Cant hurt to add more NPCs and some more details. Now i cant remember anymore, but the entrance floor and downstairs has a fine carpet or not? Hey, whats your opinion ?
